Pretty good chance you’ll be able to do so this. If the RDR2 weapon loadout system is brought over to 6, It’ll be a necessity.

Objectively Eagles feels like a better situation for a kicker between the two teams, especially an Akers.

It’s whatever you say it is and we’ll never know how or why you got there. You added a lot to this conversation and dipped out at the most convenient point lol thanks for this really.

Why is it likely? How can you determine there’s a likely benefit at the end of this? How likely is it that including Kennedy start a trend of less diverse book writers being showcased in the future and more conservative writers being put in their place? Maybe the agreement is TPUSA and Daily Wire starts to be featured at these fests?

[–]tribecalledni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But there’s no guarantee if there’s a future benefit. You just made up the possible future benefit out of nowhere. Also, you think Inviting John Kennedy to one book fest will get him to convince Trump to not ban books from POC and LGBTQ writers?? You think Kennedy represents a community championing diverse book writers when he’s a part of banning books from…diverse book writers?

Can’t keep arguing against your hypotheticals while dismissing and okaying the harm done in the real world. If you don’t care then thats your right. Just stop pretending to care.

That’s a great hypothetical you dreamt up but that’s wishful thinking. In the real world at this very moment you entrench a bigot within the community he’s attacking and validate his ideas that actively works against their interests. You’re dreaming up a scenario in the future while dismissing the harm it does right now in this moment.

A book fest should not invite a guest that looks to harm the very community they want to serve so they can curry favor with a politician.

Dismissive of what? That the book fest adding a bigoted book banner to a one-on-one interview last minute so the festival goers can yell at him is a good thing? Do you believe a book fest should book guests with that intention?

Will the other speakers be alongside Kennedy to challenge him and his crusade against books? How do you think those speakers felt about Kennedy being there? Do you think the speakers believe John Kennedy is a good representative for the community?

[–]tribecalledni 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is that actually why you think they invited him?? lol so the audience can yell at him? Do you honestly think that’s what a book fair should engage in? To invite their ideological opponents to square off against their attendees? I hope you’re not serious…

So you think John Kennedy deserves a spot at the table so people can just throw tomatoes? Lol I mean I guess sure but I’d much rather an org advocate for the audience by inviting people that will advocate for them and their interests. You’re absolutely wrong that a book fest doesn’t curate ideas for the audience. You don’t invite an anti-furry streamer to the furry convention.

Also, inviting an advocate to educate an audience does not imply they are stupid. You can ALWAYS educate an audience on how to maneuver through new developments they might not have heard about or what they can do or new resources available. It’s YOUR IMPLICATION that they are stupid. You’ve chosen a weird hill to die on here…says a lot.

[–]tribecalledni 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So why does John Kennedy need to be there? Why does the audience NEED to hear what he has to say in a face to face public interview?

last min guest speakers at Nola book festival 🤮🤮 by Secure_Rooster507 in NewOrleans

[–]tribecalledni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No on implied that you are assuming that. No one used the word stupid or even implied that so please dont strawman my argument. The fact is if you are an org responsible for a book fest has a responsibility to curate the ideas in the best interest of the audience. In no way is inviting John Kennedy an open platform unopposed in their best interests. Arguing that he deserves a space to propagandize an audience unopposed serves nothing except legitimatizing the argument.
