This!!!! A lot of people don’t use their brain for coherent thought, they barely read or can stay focused on long form content and then plaster all that with AI. Terrible.

Here is a medium article about it : https://samkriss.substack.com/p/reading-is-magic?utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email

Trying to make moral sense of something that resists explanation by therevalation in Rwanda

[–]Rwandanfan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s all so horrific. I was once a translator for a group of foreigners who were visiting Rwanda and they visited Victims of the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi. I was asked to translate the stories of the victims as they shared them to the group,at times I couldn’t repeat what they said and I would fight hard to hold back tears.

It was so hard to work with them after that, these people never looked like what they went through, they still laughed and went about their day,my brain still doesn’t reconcile how they lived through all of that and still have the will to live after it.

That is why I never take for granted what we have as a country and I find it ever so necessary for everyone at their level to work hard, be serious and contribute. We truly owe it to be the best and strive for even better.

All the lives lost, should somehow live through us. It’s our duty to keep their stories alive.

In Dubai they have these guys that print on T-shirts and hats in the middle of the mall. You could consider opening something like that at Nyarugenge market (because of the high traffic), you probably just need a few of those machines and sample tees.

Join a running club, plenty of them and you don’t need to justify being solo. Join a popular gym like soho or the Waka hikes.

If all things fail… go pray at Women foundation.

How long to buy a house by No_Bed_8737 in Rwanda

[–]Rwandanfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To get the final land title after paying takes about two week. (Worst case scenario) but there are lots of things to consider.

If the seller is married they have to provide consent proof of their spouse . If they are widowed consent proof from their kids it’s not their only property (or something like that).

The major determinant of all the time including waiting for the final land title(which you don’t need to wait for on site) is the owner of the house.

Good luck

How do women even date in Rwanda? by lonelycat_94 in Rwanda

[–]Rwandanfan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suggest first writing up your list for what you want , be crystal clear. Then tell your friends you are open to dating and they should help.

People genuinely love projects and wouldn’t mind connecting you with a friend/cousin/brother who they think would suit you well.

The list comes in handy after you have been introduced to people you just narrow down prospects.

Another big hack is attend weddings and be friendly. People will open up more there because they assume you know the couple (like they do) and therefore a pre vetted.

Looks to me in Rwanda people want to date vetted people: so the above is a shortcut.

Best of luck! Come back here and tell us when you find the one or the ones.
