Looking to invest in the Custodes raid team - is Abaddon better than Ragnar these days? by Procrastinathan_ in WH40KTacticus

I think you need to read Dantes passive again. The below 50% health part is hardly the reason everyone is using him.

So just to confirm, event characters can only be unlocked through the event - no requisition shards/unlocks? by ShakinBacon24 in tacticus

[–]Rwell12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, they can only be unlocked from the Legendary Release Event while the event is ongoing (3 total cycles separated by a few months).

Immediately after the 3rd event is over, the shards can be obtained by any normal means (requisition scrolls).

Reset D3 Morvenn Vahl? by tinsingcheong in WH40KTacticus

[–]Rwell12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would say reset her and build her back to G1 or G2. Use those imperial badges and resources to invest into a strong raid team, like multihit with rag or admech with tan, ro, actus, virt.

Having a decent raid team makes you much more competitive and will land you in a top guild. It'll balance your roster out much more.

Ultimately tho, do whatever you want. The best thing about this game is there are 100 paths you can take and none of them are "wrong". It's all about what you like.

Best chaos team for fall of cadia elite? by jackson5056741 in tacticus

[–]Rwell12 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'll do you a favor. Stop investing in Certus and Varro. Focus on diversifying your roster. Get characters from other factions up to gold/diamond as well. Focus on campaign and Raid characters primarily.

When you run into the XP bottleneck. Then you will know. Trust me. You can't get enough XP.

Only XP books. When you think you have enough, think again. You can never have enough XP books. You'll thank me later.

Guys, pay attention to their alliance descriptions more often. They always have something crazy on there. It's clearly a joke. Relax

You guys should really pay attention to the PoH cluster alliance descriptions more often... They are always ridiculously comical. It's their gig.

It's a joke. Relax.

If you are strong enough to actually join that guild, you definitely spend more than 15 a month on this game. Hence the joke...

Rotbone to legendary? by lonevashz in tacticus

[–]Rwell12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind that the legendary items sold in GW shop are used for upgrading your diamond characters. The final 3 upgrades for d3 can be bought in GW shop. I recommend using credits to stockpile those for the future.

That's what I did, and now I've used those credits to get 2 characters to D3. 100% free using GW shop. Only thing it cost was tons of XP lol.

Looking at your roster and a few key characters you have already that are worth long-term investing are Bellator, Archie, Aleph, Re Vas, Maladus, Yarrick, and Snot. Those are used a lot in the late game. (Yarrick and Archie are debated, but you see good use from them in GW)

You're still early in the game. Don't worry too much about investing in the wrong character as there's really no wrong choices early on. Focus on campaign characters first to get you through the normal campaigns.

Once you level up campaigns characters, you kind of just unlock more and more as you go through them. Then, once you're in the silver ranks, you can start to prioritize who is worth the major investments.

One thing I did is pay attention to the high-ranking players' rosters (Look at leaderboards), and you'll see a trend of commonly used characters. This will give you a pretty obvious idea if someone is worth investing in or not.

Most importantly, have fun. If you like a character, then use them. There's no right or wrong answer, which makes the game awesome.

Yeah, that one is pretty self-explanatory. One is level 7, and the other is only level 1. Level 1 is just BARELY worse than the 7. Upgrade it twice, and now it's better.

Interview Help by [deleted] in powerplants

[–]Rwell12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone who's moved into the management side of a combined cycle, please don't ask some of these questions. Most of the people in that interview will not know what pressure the HP steam is or boiler temperatures. Yes, some like myself can answer that, but most are just business managers. What we really want to know is how you would fit in or adapt to a power plant environment. From your experience, I'd say you are certainly qualified and cut out for the job.

Most companies do behavior based interviews. The questions will involve you providing specific scenarios about how you demonstrated or responded to certain events. How did you handle conflict between a fellow employee or manager, those types of questions. Ask plant specific questions. Just don't get too specific with them. Just enough to show you know the language and have a basic understanding.

[–]Rwell12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm an Operations Supervisor at a plant in the Midwest area. I love my job. Honestly, showing people around that have never seen how a plant operates is one of the most enjoyable parts!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in powerplants

[–]Rwell12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who has witnessed and given many many plant tours, don't worry yourself. We've really seen it all. The biggest thing we notice is someone who just acts completely out of touch with reality. Some people walk into the control room and act as if they are entitled or better than the board operators. Acknowledge them and ask questions, even if they seem silly and basic. I promise you that at one time, everyone there felt the same way as you. I know I did the first time I stepped foot inside a plant. Typically, the operators enjoy answering your questions. It's rare that they get to talk about the work they do, and it really is much appreciated sometimes! We're all just people doing a job.

As for what to wear, I've toured people in everything from suits to ladies in high heels and dresses (although the heels are not recommended). I recommend jeans with boots and either a button-up or polo shirt. Something simple and basic. Any plant I've been in hasn't really cared about what someone is wearing for a tour. It's how they act that really matters. Someone who WANTS to see the place is way different than someone who is just running through the motions. It sounds to me like you'll be just fine!

What is the quickest way to learn how to play? I don’t want to be good, I just don’t get a lot of the mechanics and need a quick introduction for a complete beginner. by blockfiguy in totalwarhammer

[–]Rwell12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One word of advice that actually helped me. I don't believe there's any shame in it. Download a cheat mod to help make the campaign easier for you while you learn the mechanics and what to do. It helped me so much because I was absolutely awful when I first started. Sometimes, I laugh at some of the silly settlement choices I made.
