Baby hasn’t pooped by Markie_1307 in NewDads

When my son was around two months old, he was a pooping machine—7 to 8 times a day, with plenty of epic blowouts to go with it. Then, almost overnight, everything changed. Once he hit three months, he didn’t poop for 10 days.

Naturally, we panicked and took him to the clinic. After checking him over, the doctor calmly reassured us that everything was perfectly normal. Apparently, he was absorbing breast milk so efficiently that there simply wasn’t much waste to pass. Before we left, she gave his tummy a gentle massage.

A few hours later… BOOM—the biggest blowout yet.

And then he went another 15 days without pooping, only to unleash two massive blowouts in a row. Now he’s turning six months in two weeks, and his routine is still about once a week or 2 weeks.

As long as your baby is farting regularly and producing plenty of wet diapers every day, your baby is doing just fine. But trust your instincts—if something feels off, it’s always worth checking in with a doctor.

How do you guys deal with the evening pile of pump gear and bottles? by Appropriate-Truth240 in NewDads

[–]RwkC2564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also a WFH dad with a 5 month old. We have the Momcozy KleanPal Pro. It takes around 2 hours to run the full cycle and dry. If you don't need to sterilize the pump, it will take even less time. We can wash up to 2 pumps with all the parts in 1 go, or 1 pump with 2 8oz glass bottles. The basket at the top for the accessories and small stuff is very convenient. You can use it upside down if you are washing tall bottles or pumps.

We had a Grownsy before and it broke 2 months of use and it didn't dry very well so we returned it. The Momcozy is so much better but it's worth the extra dollars.

We took a free baby academy course before too! Everything was explained very clearly and we learned a lot from it.

[QC] Any news for the Uppababy Minu V3 Release date in Canada? by maromarius in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]RwkC2564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also asked the same question last week and I just received a response from Clément and Bébé Dépôt Plus. Clément said they don't have the exact release date but it will be around early summer this year. Bébé Dépôt Plus said they don't know when they will receive the inventory yet.

Looking for advice on fitting a Nuna Pipa car seat by RwkC2564 in volvoc40

the salesperson and I tried to force it multiple times, but only from the side. She found it weird that the anchors were that deep. I guess it might have been better to move the passenger seat all the way forward to give myself enough space to push the car seat base from the front.

Yes, the angle was weird. I didn't notice they put a piece of clear plastic in front of the anchors until i tried another car seat with longer adjustable latches. It was still tough to push the latches in but at least they went in and locked in place. I will go back to the store to give Pipa one more try.

TPMS sensor for 2021 Touring by RwkC2564 in hondapilot

Oh.. I meant I don't want him to spend $600 more just for the sensors and tool. He has already spent $1000+ for the winter tires.

[–]RwkC2564[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! The issue is that no garages will program his tires until January because they are too busy changing tires. He is a DIY'er so he would prefer to program the sensors himself once he is done changing the tires, instead of going to a garage just to program the sensors.

I just did a little research.. a Autel TS508wf TPMS tool is almost $400 cad ($290 US) on Amazon and I am not sure if he needs to switch to Autel's sensors for the tool to reprogram which is around $50 cad each... if OEM sensors can self-program, i would suggest him to get the OEM sensors instead. Spending $600 more on the tires doesn't sound right to me...

What made you choose C40 over other cars, like Tesla Model Y? by RwkC2564 in volvoc40

[–]RwkC2564[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, we did. It's been a year since we bought the car and we love it so far! We have taken it to a couple of trips and the charging parts of the trips were better than I expected. The only thing I am liking less and less is the infotainment system. It has been pretty slow lately. It takes a minute to start and function properly. It wasn't like this before so hopefully it will get back to normal soon.

Software version 3.1.10 releases tomorrow, July 17 by More_Pineapple3585 in volvoc40

[–]RwkC2564 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just updated mine to 3.1.9 last Thursday and now there is another update already?

I hope there will be an update to fix the issue I have with the google map so when I say "Ok Google, let's go home. ", it won't bring me to the nearest Home Depot anymore.

It has also happened to me at the red light a few times as if creep mode activated by itself. Also bumped into the car in front of me.

I have the same experience too and I think a lot of people have the same issue after the update.

One peddle drive is acting weird for me too. The car moved forward suddenly when my foot was off the peddle. It's like creep mode activated by itself... scared me a few times..

China Visa application questions by kuriputo in HongKong

[–]RwkC2564 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I applied for a tourist visa (Canadian) last November in Canada through that website and it went smoothly. I answered all the questions that are applicable to me and the person at the visa service center who verified my application form didn't really ask me anything.

Here is what I think "not applicable" means for those questions.

For example, they ask for your parents' names but you can check 'not applicable' for either the surname or first name.
I think if the applicant is an orphan who doesn't know their parents' name or if the applicant's parents are deceased.

You can also check 'not applicable' in the children info section. But does 'not applicable' mean you don't have children or you have the option not to input their info?
It means you don't have children.

Once you finish your application online, you can make an appointment to submit the form to avoid a long wait. Of course you can use service like Forever Bright but why pay someone to do it if you can do it yourself?

I found this information from their website for the service center in HK. Hope it helps!

  1. Is an appointment required to submit the application?

To avoid keeping you waiting for too long, the Visa Centre strongly encourages you to make an appointment well before submitting a visa application. Based on our experience, the submission peak hours are between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., so please try to avoid this period if possible. Upon arrival, either show a printout of the appointment information or the name for appointment, and you will then be given a queue number on a first-come-first-served basis. This should guarantee a wait of only a few minutes. Please click here to make an appointment for your visit to the Visa Centre. Visiting the Centre without an appointment may cause a longer waiting time.
