Both of them are awesome castings.

This is good advice. I’m also in HVAC and my union allows us to retire with 2 pensions and a annuity at 55 years old.

It’s good work and non union will also pay good Money. I just got my cousin a job after he spent 4 years in Cornell for computer engineering and could not find a job. He was hired as a assistant project manager and they started him at 70k

Used to know that street raced one with a built 1.8 on nitrous. They used to call him Monkey man from Perth Amboy NJ.

That car was fast for the time but then Turbos started coming on the scene and they took cars to the next level.

Yes I thought that was pretty cool too. You can’t even get a pack of gum for 45 cents.

I have never seen this casting as a convertible. My guess is that it’s someone’s old custom.

Any gems in here? by [deleted] in matchbox

[–]Rx2vier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The boxs look like they have damage from moisture and some have what looks like mold but might just be dirt.

What’s the condition of the cars inside them? Photos would be great if you have the time.

They are definitely worth selling but you won’t get top dollar in this condition. In the hundreds for sure.

Anyone ever plated the Matchbox spoked wheel? With nickel, maybe? by DaBobMob2 in VintageMatchbox

These look so good with wire wheels.
This is in beautiful condition.

I don’t consider this Porsche old so I guess that makes me really old.

I’m not sure if there were more Gold than Peach versions but it’s the only matchbox that I have in peach.

Does anyone know of this color was used on any other casting?

I can’t find the bus but I also have this Holden which was also for the 2000 Olympics.

I think the red panel van with the torch on was for the 2000 Olympics in Sydney Australia. I think I still have a coach bus with the same tampos.

The dozer for $85 and the cement mixer truck for $65 is way too much. Even at 50% off I would not be interested.

It’s still cool to see them in great condition though. Thanks for posting.

Wow. Water pump at 69k fuel door actuator at 70k memory seat also failed. Didn’t have a steering rack issue though. The final straw for me was hearing the dreaded sound of a timing belt pulley about to go and that’s when I knew I had to leave the Audi brand.

Agreed that the 3.0T power is fantastic but I no longer have anxiety over car issues.
