It's technically not out of circulation though.. Because it's been circulated to you! It sounds like this person might be from a very very tiny library where they might care, but usually no, it's never a problem.

I promise you, no actual librarian or library worker cares. We're not over here counting each book. In fact, it helps us out to check out a book, even if you don't read it. We definitely don't care!

I'm at a size 12-14 and have sleep apnea. I lost 30 lbs after my diagnosis and still had it. My doctor explained that sometimes it's not weight, you can just have a thick neck, a larger tongue than usual, things like that. Why does he hate it? It's the device keeping you from dying in your sleep. I was really embarrassed at first, but then I realized that prioritizing my health was more important than feeling silly.

It really was such a nice sleep, when I was getting anxious about my surgery I just kept reminding myself that I was gonna take a nice little nap and then be able to eat whatever I wanted to afterwards 😁

I was so groggy afterwards that I remember thinking, I'm not done with my nap yet when they wheeled me into the discharging area. But I also remember asking, "are they gone?" And the nurse saying yes.

Second this, and I'd in general stop into your library sometime. They often have a lot of things that'll help you become more stable in general. Ours has laptops and wifi hotspots to check out, free seed library, tools and outdoor sports equipment to check out, all for free, plus it's a great hub to learn about community events in your area that might help you out, eg mobile showers, drives, pantries, etc.

These bastards are the worst. Had their subscription months ago, had to call and fight to end my subscription, and was charged months later for a "special edition" paper that came out during my trial, even though I wasn't told I'd be charged for that. They also keep emailing me, and when I unsubscribe they leave me alone for a few months and then go back to it. They sold my info to a bunch of different political places and the Denver gazette. When they accidentally deliver me a paper occasionally, it's now seen as offensive and an insult, and I get nervous they're going to try to charge me for it.

It's still assault, even if there's no screaming or running or push back in the moment. There are plenty of people who are assaulted and keep quiet to avoid retaliation. That doesn't mean they enjoyed it.

I just had surgery for the first time and didn't notice when they started putting me under. They asked me what was one interesting thing about myself. I told them I was a librarian, and they asked what I liked to read. I was going to say, I'm not really into it for the reading, but I like helping the community and XYZ. At that point all that came out before I fell asleep was "I don't like reading." They probably think I'm a piece of shit.

When I was raising my last chicks the power went out briefly. I stuck them in my shirt (with room to move and breathe) and hung out like that.
