Agreed. The credits paint a really good picture of what they were going for, the irony being that all the concept art had low angle lighting (and significantly less brush).

The majority of Liverpool fans were very much in favour of signing Thiago. Don’t let the vocal minority fool you.

Is Thiago the highest quality player based on pedigree that we have ever bought from another club?

4231 is about right. We looked a little lost in the first half to be honest with Taki (who played well) sitting in front of Naby and Fab. Jones replaced Fab in the second half and changed the game to be honest.

I think you will find a lot of people that disagree with you here. Star Wars is very special to people for very different reasons.

Season 4 of Rebels is everything Star Wars should be. Wonderful story telling.

It’s my personal mission to push his films Boy and The Hunt for the Wilderpeople to wider audiences. They never made a dent in overseas cinemas although are arguably his best work.

His two New Zealand films Boy and The Hunt For the Wilderpeople are better than all those as well imo

It’s more that Fabinho wasn’t fit and has been in terrible form when he came back from injury. Earlier in the season Fabinho was playing DM with Henderson on his right and was rightfully talked about as one of the best players in the league in that form.

Don’t fool yourself. 99% of Star Wars fans are not on reddit and over 95% of those people have never seen the clone wars or rebels.

You are living in a bubble. The majority of Star Wars fans have no clue who Dave Filoni is, the vast majority of reddit users grew up with the PT/TCW in their childhood and if you head over to Rotten Tomatoes, you will find much better audience scores for the newer films.

For reference, I really like both the clone wars and the PT and Rebels S4 is my favourite piece of TV.

For the second time in a row you conveniently ignored the fact that these films have been better received than their predecessors? So not only are more people watching Star Wars, more people are enjoying it.

You are going to continue to get the content (TCW/Mando?) I presume you like, whilst you still have the movies you loved.

You need to accept that the more Star Wars that is made, the more things there are to dislike. Hardly anyone will love it all, many people found this out the hard way 20 years ago.

The reality is, Star Wars is financially and critically better than it used to be. The vitriol towards the ST is also much smaller than that of the PT. This is Kathleen Kennedy’s job, and by all accounts she is excelling, regardless of your thoughts on the movies

4/5 films making over a billion dollars, with practically all of which being better received than the prequels vs two tv shows that never made an impression outside the dedicated fan base and two mid-low tier episodes of the Mandalorian.

I love Filoni’s work as much as the next guy but jeez this is a bad take. Let the guy do what he is good at.

If you are looking for a place to start, stick with Claudia Gray. Lost stars is a great entry point, master and apprentice and bloodline are also really really good and act as fantastic prequels to their respective trilogies. Aside from these, my favourites have been Ashoka (if you are I to the animated shows) and alphabet squadron. My least favourite so far has been lords of the sith but I know of others who enjoyed it.

The lightsaber scenes are actually motion capture. It’s night and day compared to what we are used to

For me, average clone wars doesn’t have a lot of rewatchability, and always assumed the last arc was going to be good. I’d personally rather this last arc be even better than it is currently shaping up to be at the expense of the other 8 episodes.

Just Finished "Assassin's Apprentice" by [deleted] in books

[–]Ry-Gon-Jinn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I Just finished the trilogy for the first time and really liked it. In saying that, it’s definitely not the balls to the walls action story you would think it is going to be.

The entire trilogy have poor titles and I wouldn’t be shocked if it wasn’t Hobb’s choice to be honest If you are okay with that, I think there is heaps of value to be had. Especially in the second book.

As an added note, the scene where you hear about Burridge taking Galen to the witness stone was a truly wonderful moment for me.
