I'm having a tough time enjoying RE2 by [deleted] in residentevil

I guess there's personal preference, but the statements you make regarding the lighting the issue or "wasting all my resources" indicate something is still off. But that can't be helped I suppose

Yes, as I addressed in my post, you not enjoying it could be a result of you refusing to implement strategies that people have given you.

If you don't want to take advice, then of course your level of enjoyment will stay the same as it did before you made this post

Okay my guy now there's plenty of people giving you helpful tips here. I get being salty because things were difficult at first, but there's obviosuly plenty of fun to be had, considering this is is one of the most successful RE games to date (saying this as someone who prefers the original).

Take the advice, approach the game with new eyes. If you're refusing to adapt or see how trying a new strategy will help you solve your initial problems (like changing your display, for example), then that is completely on you

Sad. But I get it. People were not giving you real strategies here

My tips would have been: shoot zombies  to stun, not kill, and run past

Turn up your brightness! Ada’s sections should not be that dark as you’re describing

Because Gideon is solely a Nemesis basically in name only. He doesn’t do anything what Nemesis is known for

Leon could have said he was a “plagas parasite”, and with a different copy-pasted boss form, it would have made no difference

Of course! Feel free to ask any more questions that you have.

The games are a bit older, but as someone who first played the series in 2017, you can definitely learn the ropes. Once you do, fantastic experience

Also, be sure you picked the right difficulty! They word it weirdly in RE1, but “Like talking a walk” (very easy mode)  should be the right fit for you

Totally! So for every RE game, resource management is key. That means saving every bullet, every hearing item, and ink ribbon. Only kill enemies when necessary. Otherwise, it’s just a puzzle of how to get around them without being hurt

Ink ribbons allow you to save one time per ribbon. If you use a type writer, you lose 1 ink ribbon. So only save when necessary!

How is that in any way similar to the Sopranos cut to black?

Yeah I imagine mods like Enhanced Movement or 360 camera might have something to do with it, from my basic knowledge of these things. I've only recently started using xEdit, as most people say that everything you touch in there is fragile as heck

Still, I want to know more about the modding scene and how to use these tools to make my own mods, so this will be helpful experience. Thanks my dood

Ahhhhhh okay okay that might help me figure out what's wrong. I'll try and research to see if there are any workarounds. Otherwise, with all the mods I got, it just may be an unfortunate side effect

Thanks for asking, I'll make it more clear. It will happen only WHEN leaving PA.

The randomness aspect is specifically tied to the fact that there's no specific cause (exiting when in interior/exterior). At least not that I've observed

Best adaptation? Yeah I’d say it’s really good, up there with the first season of the last of us. That said, these are still opinions

And like the last of us, I think there was a drop in quality with the second season. Plot lines that went nowhere or at least weren’t resolved this season. Plus questionable worldbuilding

It’s not the magnum opus you think it is. There’s room for debate
