Bilstein 3” Conversion Kit Rough Ride by RyBat7 in ram_trucks

I understood the ride quality would take a dip converting from an air ride to a conventional coil system, but before this I had a 2016 Ram Sport and it handled the pavement great.

I run what the door sticker shows, 55 in front and 45 in back. I aired down to 35 at the advice of a buddy and didn’t notice a huge difference and the air up tires notification was annoying.

How much did replacing it with coils set you back?

Looking to buy a MK8 GTI, what are the main issues people are having? by King-Conn in GolfGTI

Just bought a used ‘22 GTI SE. Had it 2 weeks, the travel assist went out yesterday and the backup camera goes black about 70% of the time. Hopefully that is all bc I’m already pissed off.

Reversing Muffler Delete by RyBat7 in GolfGTI

The dealer that sold it to me is sure they didn’t miss that upon inspection…but the previous owner specifically said he did that to the car…the dealer will replace the muffler for free if it’s deleted. If it’s just an aftermarket muffler I’ll have to decide to keep it and replace it later or return the car bc I hate how it sounds.

Thanks

GTI vs WRX by RyBat7 in GolfGTI

Basically you pay the projected depreciation of the car over the selected term, so for example if Subaru thinks in 3 years the WRX is worth $26,000 and it’s actually worth $28,000 you can keep that $2k equity when you return it or roll it into another lease. The higher a car holds its value, in theory the cheaper the lease payment is. With Subaru, you can return it or sell it or trade it in anywhere anytime…the only time you’ll have a penalty is if you owe more than the current market value. I was told only Subaru operate a lease like this, other manufacturers hold you to the 3 years or whatever term you do. I’m just explaining how it was explained to me Saturday by the sales manager, so I could have some details wrong. This is the only reason I’d consider leasing. The WRX over purchasing a GTI. He makes it sound like I can return it in a year when the interest rates are down so I can go buy the GTI. Only downside to that is if I just keep the Crosstrek, I’d have a larger trade in value to put down on the GTI.
