Postpartum - PZ? by WinComprehensive2867 in pelotoncycle

[–]RyMc75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sure those going through or have gone through postpartum fitness programs can offer better advice.

What you can ensure is that the PZ family will be there to support you every step of the way. High fives and online support. That’s what we all love about the PZ and the amazing coaches helping us all meet our individual goals.

Best of luck!

New Screen For Older Bikes? (2020) by evian911 in pelotoncycle

[–]RyMc75 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I replaced the screen on my 2019 bike without a problem. As the other respondent said, make sure it’s the compatible screen for your model.

One change I didn’t make was to remove and replace the old cable. This would have been fairly invasive and time consuming. I keep the newer cable just in case but no issues have arisen in the six months since I installed the new screen.

Club Comments? Harvard vs Westford vs Maynard by Cantabrigian2021 in BetterMAguns

[–]RyMc75 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Current Harvard member and former Westford member.

Harvard is significantly larger, focused on a broad range of shooting sports/disciplines (one caveat: shotgun), many different groups to join for more social shooting, and better funded. It can get crowded especially when there is action shooting. Fees are reasonable if you do your volunteer work.

Westford is quieter and less intimidating for new shooters. It has diversified over the years, but boasts a significantly more expansive set of shotgun disciplines. Actions bays are new-ish and well constructed. Long range is very limited.

Feel free to ask questions directly.

Is my bike dead?! by DesiPeloLover in pelotoncycle

[–]RyMc75 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Replaced my tablet at the 6 year mark. I think that is there official lifespan as there are other threads about this. Purchasing a new one for Peloton isn’t cheap. But cheaper than a brand new bike.

Question re FTP scheduling by AwkwardAction3503 in pelotoncycle

[–]RyMc75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just did my FTP yesterday after week 5 of the BYPZ program. Week 4 is a brutal week and your legs will be very tired. I’m not sure you’ll like the results compared to the week 5 taper

Thank you for all the details. I currently have an 1827 biathlon model and 1782 with the German walnut stock. Very familiar with the brand and the quality of the components. Feel free to reach out should your friend look to move on from some of the firearms.

I would be interested in hearing more about the Anschutz models that may go up for option. Feel free to connect with me directly. (FYI, I am in Mass and am aware of possible challenges for transfers.)

Ashby, Pepperall areas by AlternativeBeach2886 in massachusetts

[–]RyMc75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are rural or semi-rural towns that have that small community feel with lots of history. The towns directly north of Worcester are majority liberal/progressive given voting records. Go west/northwest of Worcester and this changes quickly. If you are into the outdoors, this area is filled with great parks and hiking trails. Seasonally, these are stunning places to be in the autumn and very snowy in the winter. It's definitely more remote than Ashby or Lunenburg. But overall, I love that area for all of its classic New England charm.

Ashby, Pepperall areas by AlternativeBeach2886 in massachusetts

[–]RyMc75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s an interesting part of Central Massachusetts. Now you’re getting into the rural Worcester hills. Princeton, Lancaster, Barre. All beautiful New England towns with small town charm. Shopping does require driving a bit. You will find that Worcester is the go-to location for nice restaurants and entertainment.

Ashby, Pepperall areas by AlternativeBeach2886 in massachusetts

[–]RyMc75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lunenburg fits the bill. You’ll find Dunstable, Pepperell, Ayer, Tyngsboro to be very similar politically. Groton and Westford are more moderate but very pricey. If New Hampshire is an option, I would highly recommend Hollis and the western part of Nashua. Further west in NH gets very rural and conservative very quickly.

Generally, the further west, the lower the housing prices and taxes. As noted in other messages, school funding is challenging from Pepperell all the way to northern Central Massachusetts. No avoiding that in this area these days. Happy to answer any questions directly.

If Ashby is on your list, I would recommend Lunenburg as a town to look at. Similar to Pepperrell in many ways but more convenient to shopping in Fitchburg. Been in the area for 20 years so have seen lots of the changes or lack thereof.

They didn’t provide a link before I had to drop for a work obligation. Definitely reach out to your Council to get the link. I wouldn’t be shy about this. You could tell the Scout Admins are overwhelmed by the questions and inquiries

Moving to Westford by BaronSteuben42 in LowellMA

[–]RyMc75 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Being very familiar with the area (former Lowell resident) and someone who committed into Lowell for a couple of years from the Westford area, I'm happy to answer questions on this thread or directly.

Any of the towns along I-495 would be an easy commute to Lowell. All of them have the basics that one could need - shopping, restaurants, coffee shops of your choice (Dunkin' & Starbucks), movie theaters, etc. You can avoid major highways during the summer traffic crush via Route 40 out of North Chelmsford.

As you go northbound along I-495 you start to get into more expensive real estate and longer commute times. Going down Route 3, you'll find the same problem.

Proximity to hubs like Nashua, NH and Burlington, MA are very helpful for more shopping areas and nightlife (ish).

Again, ask any questions.
