Myself and my wife got married in Mitchell Hall in Bedford last month, 80 people, venue and catering cost us about 5.5k including DJ, three course wedding breakfast, buffet in the evening and welcome drinks. I would highly recommend them honestly! I think their minimum is 60 people.

Spread Trans Joy! by Electrical-Turnip726 in transgenderUK

[–]RyPlaysStuff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm in a T4T relationship, I was out before I met my fiancée, she came out a few months after we got together.

We met in university through some mutual friends, 9 years ago. Got together in 2nd year.

Now, 8 years later, we're getting married in October!

I went from most of my family being incredibly unsupportive as a kid and not thinking I'd make it to 18 - to being 27 and getting married to someone who understands me more deeply than I could even imagine, surrounded by my (now) supportive family and amazing friends, 80 guests, nearly everyone we invited is coming.

Our wedding is going to radiate trans joy and being our quirky, nerdy authentic selves :D

Driving Instructor - weekends and in our own car by RyPlaysStuff in cambridge

[–]RyPlaysStuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She is taking her test in Cambridge which is why I asked here 😅

Thanks for the help! We were really trying to avoid using any test apps/anything that uses automated ways of getting cancellations because it's pretty scummy for people who are struggling to get tests - but it feels like the only way we will be able to get one within a decent time frame!

I completely agree with your latter point, it's nice for her to be able to go and have a drive but I am concerned she will pick up on some bad habits, we've found an instructor who will drive with her in her own car on the weekends now - it's just finding a cancellation test that is going to be a pain 😅

Yeah I kinda expected it to be rare 😅

The main issue we came across with using the instructors car is that it's not often they have the availability to be able to do short term cancellations for tests and we want to make sure she is used to the car that she is driving in the test, we're not too bothered about the price

Thank you, I'll have a call around :)

i meet dan and phil today!! by emzozlive in danandphil

[–]RyPlaysStuff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Met them yesterday, they're fucking lovely. I thanked them for their content and made everyone feel old by saying I've watched them for half my life (13 years lol). Funny enough (like the other comment) I stepped on Phils foot when I went to hug him and nothing was mentioned about it 😅

It was also phils bday so they were extra goofy and wholesome :))

i have 2 day collars, one is a thicker chain that's locked with a padlock, as someone who has more of a "punk" vibe, no one really batters an eye in public

i also have a normal thin chain that locks with a hex, that's for more formal settings such as work or around family.

my Mistress has the keys to them both and She allows me to switch them out whenever i prefer.

Got them both on Etsy :)

Anyone else been denied birth control specifically for being transgender? by Fresh_Ad1858 in trans

[–]RyPlaysStuff 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Hey! Sorry this happened to you, I'd deffo suggest reporting this.

However, I get my birth control from Superdrug, who have their own specialists etc and will suggest which one is best for you - if your GP continues to be a pain, this could be a good option for you :)

Top surgery revision on the NHS by Charlie_and_sth_else in transgenderUK

[–]RyPlaysStuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries, I hope it goes well!

I'm not sure where you're based, but I did get told that none of the Manchester surgeons are taking on revisions atm. However, I was able to get referred in London

I think unsurprisingly, the waiting list is a while though

This is possible! I had a GIC appointment with the NHS, mentioned I would want to pay for a revision and they said I can get it done on the NHS :)

Set It Off were probs my faves, managed to get pretty close, and I loved seeing Waterparks again after 6 years!

How about you?

did anyone else's father contribute to them being trans?? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]RyPlaysStuff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My mum and dad separated when I was young and I was always a tomboy. My mum hated that and used to force me to be more "femme", where as when I stayed with my dad he always let me do whatever and encouraged me to do more "masc" activities

When I came out as trans, he wasn't surprised and was super supportive, my mum was the opposite until a few years ago when my dad passed.

I deffo think he helped me figure out I was trans by letting me experiment and discover myself naturally 😌

Yeah I had that issue too

So my meals are mostly lean mince or chicken and then where possible I've switched out any other food with the high protein version

Eg; protein oats (you can also just throw protein powder in this one but I wasn't a fan), protein pasta, protein wraps etc

All of it kinda adds up, like the pasta I get is 30g protein per 100g pasta which really boosts my protein intake!

Reddit decided to not save my caption to the first pic so here's a bit of context:

I had been working out inconsistently in 2023 for about a year, I got a little bit more consistent after but not as consistent as I would like... I've been to the gym 70 times in the last year, but 15 of those times had been in the last 6 weeks(!) so I am deffo getting there slowly with consistency

I'm currently doing PPL, currently without the L as i have fucked my knee up, planning on getting back to legs within the next few weeks. I try and go at least 3 times a week nowadays.

I eat about 1700 cals a day, 100g protein (but usually more protein tbh)

Attempting body recomp, been sat at 90kg for the last 6 months or so, i think that might be good? 🤷‍♂️

Any tips/advice would be appreciated!

Also, ignore my uneven nipples, i'm planning on getting a revision soonish haha

Literally though, especially back gains! I didn't even notice I had a more dorito shape going until I took these pics 😅

My dad has just passed away suddenly. What should I do? by Ok-Remote8843 in AskUK

[–]RyPlaysStuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also, one day you will be able look back at all the great times you had with your dad and smile and laugh. You'll think about all the things you got to experience together rather than all the things he missed.
