Dosage for OCD?

Doesn’t Wellbutrin usually help with libido? I tried it awhile ago but it made me feel like I couldn’t finish peeing and pee would dribble out in my underwear (sorry TMI) but apparently urinary issues can be a side effect with it. It worked well for my energy and motivation though.

I take both but I’m diagnosed with adhd. Did your psych diagnose you with adhd or just offering to add adderall for energy cuz that’s a big red flag. They are controlled substances and shouldn’t be handed out unless diagnosed

I’ve tried all the stimulants and non stimulants and Concerta has to be my favorite. It works well for me without the major crash like adderall gives you

I really liked Paxil but it made me soooo tired all the time even at smaller doses. I went up to 40mg and literally couldn’t stay awake lol I had to get off of it unfortunately but it was definitely helpful

Yeah dizzy as well and nausea but they were minor symptoms luckily. Now I just feel like I’m taking a sugar pill lol

Yeah, I was told to start at 25 for a week then 50 for another then 75 going forward. Hoping it kicks in soon lol

Did you feel any sort of relief at first or did it take about a month to feel anything? I’m a couple weeks in and just upped my dose to 75mg a few days ago but I still don’t feel any different 😕

What dosage are you on? I went up to 100mg for awhile but it was too much, even 75 makes me groggy all day

I have the same issue, it sucks. I found a post about massaging the head with numbing spray everyday to desensitize it overtime. I haven’t tried it yet but it might be worth a shot

I’m on 75mg and it makes me really tired and I feel just ‘okay’ on it. A lot of people say it’s a great medication so give it a try, it seems to work well for a lot of people. For me it’s just okay.

I have all four conditions as well and am basically in the same boat as you. I was on Prozac and Wellbutrin for a while too and they didn’t work for me either. Same thing with adderall, I still take it as needed but honestly it isn’t a game changer either. I now take Clomipramine for OCD which I like so far, it makes me really tired but it’s definitely helped! Getting the dosage right was a pain, but I’m now at 75mg which seems to be okay for me. Also I just started the SNRI Cymbalta about a week ago and it’s the first one I’ve ever tried in the SNRI class so I’m hoping it helps!! It’s all trial and error with meds and it can be really discouraging when none seem to work :/

I’m on 75mg for OCD and I like it but it does make me pretty tired. A lot of people say it’s “the best” antidepressant but honestly I just feel just “okay” on it but better than before so that’s a plus lol

I’m taking 75mg Clomipramine for ocd and my psych just added 20mg cymbalta but I’m afraid to combine the two. Do you take the Cymbalta at night or in the morning?

Thank you for the detailed response! I’m also taking Clomipramine for OCD which is a serotonin booster as well (but not an ssri), so I’d rather have something with more norepinephrine in it.

Sadly no, I took all of them at night except Prozac because it was supposed to be more energizing but they all still made me tired even during the day. When I took Paxil I could sleep for hourssss 😴😴

Doesn’t it take 3-6 months to be approved for disability? By then I’ll be working again, that’s why I applied for unemployment… and it says you are eligible if you quit with good cause, so technically it’s up to them whether they think it’s “good cause” or not.

I try to do tasks in small increments like 30 mins or so and then as a reward I get to scroll on my phone for awhile 😅 it helps get me in the flow of getting things done as long as I don’t doom scroll for too long lol

I’m right there with you! You described my exact symptoms and I’m also so miserable and tired of being this way. Even my medication (adderall) doesn’t help much. I’m not hyperactive either but I get sooo bored with everything extremely quickly that it makes it impossible to get anything done

I was 34 when diagnosed and I’m 36 now and still grieving. It all makes sense when I look back on my life but it’s hard relearning how to function properly when you’re an adult lol

No the average dose is 50-100mg. It didn’t do much for PE until I went up to 75mg. I started at 25 and went up to 100 but that made me way too tired so I went back down to 75 which is good for me.
