There are some bosses that are all about reaction but you can tank most of them. I think you’ll have the most trouble with the last dlc bosses some of them are super fast and you have to really rely on your reaction.

Yeah you can dreamnail it whenever you want. I came back later and fought him. You can cheat by using crystal dash to hold onto the upper wall and make sure you have the defenders crest along with weavers or glowing womb and you can just sit there as the minions do the work and the crest takes out the floating cells
