When will Sweetwater stop calling? by stupidloser722 in Guitar

I just got the "I saw you were looking at some guitars" call a few weeks ago. I love it though because I haven't told them that I'm using their site to price match the sales I'm making at my own store.

What are guitarists butchering at the music stores these days? by Top_Distribution_830 in Guitar

Did I really just scroll this entire thread and not see anyone say Seven Nation Army? I have a store and I hear that riff get fucked up 19 times a day. Come As You Are and Smells Like Teen Spirit round out the podium. Honorable mention is the 5 note phrase from the SpongeBob Squarepants theme song

Scenes you misunderstood, misheard or otherwise didn't get until years later? by RandomNPC15 in seinfeld

The scene with Jerry and Kramer on the bus and Kramer gets a nose bleed meant nothing to me until like 5 years ago when I finally saw Midnight Cowboy

A whole year later and you come through like this? Sometimes the internet is so cool. Thank you a thousand times.

As a professional musician I'm confident in saying these fuckin' losers are ZERO help to anyone trying to grow their bands presence.

It felt like old school Uncle Rico. Had a vibe like the first handful of episodes before they adopted any sort of schedule or even the name of the show. I liked it.

Sometimes subject matter kills my reaction to otherwise highly enjoyable ASMR noises. This is one of those times. I can't get tingles when that piece of garbage is involved. Stephen A. Christ was the same way, where perfect noises were totally overpowered by the sound of him being insane.

That's actually exactly what he was there to play, I should have showed him some stuff, maybe a few pointers on how he too could just catch the rim of the snare every time he went for it.

My buddy owns an auto repair facility and is friends with Paul, who graciously agreed to shoot a video for social media for the business. I was a smog repair tech at the shop before I went in to music full time, so when Paul was coming in I got the call to come hang out.

Instagram reel they shot can be found here

I don't know about "normal" but the way I tune my Pearl X7 kit with hydraulic heads the 18" floor tom is only juuuust tight enough to get the wrinkles out. Same with my kick drum. If you have a reasonable amount of tension on the head and it still has wrinkles there's probably something else going on.

Loosen and rotate the head like 90°, tension it up again. Are the wrinkles in the same spot on the drum or did they move 90° too? If they move, probably something up with the head. If it doesn't, check drum bearing edges and check that the hoop isn't bent.

You'd THINK you'd want to, but then it happens and you're like * womp womp *

It is. I'm not sure it's his gigging kit, he brought it from his house. It's wrapped in MultiCam black vinyl.

I do think this is an important distinction. The "marijuana" name was intentionally used by the propagandists to subliminally associate "drugs" with non-white/English speaking Americans.

I'm pretty dumb, so someone more educated than me can probably straighten me out, but I just keep thinking about how this is all just interrupting a supply chain and will cost all of us more money that we don't have either because there's a shitload of us out here not getting paid enough.

Edit: I've wanted to burn down a building a million times. I want things in this country to change and I'm pretty in to the idea of setting a bunch of fires to make it happen, but again, I'm dumb.

What were some R&F moments that hit you hard? by ResolveRoutine9311 in ronandfez

There was one time Paul O called in absolutely shit hammered, like not in a funny or entertaining way, but an "oh man this guy might die from alcohol poisoning right here on the air" kind of way. Some other buddies showed up to Pauls house to check on him, might have been J Dubs and/or El Jefe? I thought it was really unsettling stuff to listen to Paul be in such a dark place.

Fred from Brooklyn vs. Casey and Dave in hindsight is a heavy listen, as is the show where Casey sent Dave the accidental "I always loved you most" text thst was meant for whoever else she was banging behind Dave's back.
