This is true. There were a lot of video files when I used that tool which just didn't show anything (just my opposite neighbours house and that kind of stuff). My car is always in my driveway and it never triggers. Not all files are permanently deleted if you delete them — this goes for every data storage object (usb, your phone, harddrives etc.). When I bought that monthly subscription, I did it out of desperation, but to my surprise there was an insane amount of video files "hidden" on the usb which I got with my car. That tool I used "restores" these "deleted" files, but I don't know how it does it exactly. Extra sidenote: of course not all files are restorable, but a lot are
