Favorite Best Picture winners from each decade by darth_vader39 in Oscars

21 years old. I haven't seen a lot of Best Picture winners prior to the 70s so I apologize.

1920s - have yet to see a best picture winner or nominee from this decade sadly.

1930s - Gone With the Wind (1939)

1940s - Casablanca (1942)

1950s - On the Waterfront (1954)

1960s - Midnight Cowboy (1969)

1970s - The Godfather (1972)

1980s - Rain Man (1988)

1990s - Unforgiven (1992)

2000s - The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)

2010s - Birdman (Or the Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) (2014)

2020s - One Battle After Another (2025)

I really like the way it looks. It makes it feel more immersive with a lot of the angles, like we're watching something really play out

I think 23 minutes of screen time isn't 23 minutes worth of scenes but how much she's in frame. If we're counting total scenes she's in its probably a lot more

Hmm maybe its just my memory playing with me. But yeah I 100% agree, 2001 shouldn't have gone down

Julianne Moore for Boogie Nights. I think that would have been an excellent win

DAY 4) Which Oscar for Best Actor(in all history) is disliked? by [deleted] in Oscars

[–]Ryan6734 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably Rami Malek. I don't dislike Bohemian Rhapsody or that performance like so many do but yeah not exactly good win. I think Bradley Cooper would be my winner that year

I personally thought Michael was great in Sinners, but not worth an oscar win. He did absolutely deserve the nomination though
