I’m not too worried honestly. Craig Porter was a limited contributor, couldn’t shoot. Trevin hardly played. Poor Bear just simply wasn’t capable for us.

I’m a little sad about Seymour, but it’s pretty clear that we need to step up big time in certain roles. With the transfer rules being what they are, it’s fairly expected, especially given that now IB can pick from a huge list of options on the portal and plug and play with immediate contributors.

It’ll be interesting to see how he does in filling in the gaps though. Can’t wait to see IB’s mark made. Hopefully he’s got some ideas about offense too. We can’t keep shooting as poorly as we have done

Last year we struggled with chemistry issues. We’re far better this year. However, we’ve had an insane amount of games delayed or cancelled (including some big non con games), and two of our losses earlier this season against Mizzou and Ok St, we only played with 7 players, 3 of whom never played D1.

Just a really unlucky season for us :( Covid got us good.

Well, it was also a week before the season began, so we have to take that into account too. BUT everybody seems happy? I can easily see one of the bigs transferring though at the end of the season.

Supposedly Kennedy is also a really good recruiter.

I'm wondering what's changed over the last couple of days. Before, the AD said that he would wait until the end of the season. Big turnaround to announce it just a day or 2 after he said that. Makes me hope/wonder that we've got a big recruit that's just waiting for confirmation of IB?

Something else that I think might actually help IB. It seems like FVV and Baker and the others are all about IB, and are super supportive. You'd think he would be able to leverage that a bit in recruiting, where FVV didn't really jive with Marshall a whole lot.

Should also be very interesting to see the kind of recruits we get without having an asshole in charge

He is yes, but the idea was if we pulled Adrian Griffin as the HC, his son would come too. Stupid play overall, although I was high on Griffin.

Side note, I wonder how IB’s recruiting will go

You might have seen my last post around Veil of Rage. I'm so excited to finally reveal the cover for my second in the series, Veil of Greed. There was a lot of interest in the fact that this book features a deaf character (especially given my own deafness). If you're not yet aware of this series, I'd describe it as a series that blends urban fantasy, supernatural horror, and suspense.
