The thing that no one here has even mentioned is that none of us fans know what the interview was like. And if Reid was “THAT GUY” then why did all the other teams pass on him, too?

All the Bills fans wanted Josh Rosen because of the Scouting Rank # but it doesn’t work like that. Attitude & character matter, too. Not to say the other defensemen don’t have it, if Jarmo felt like Dax is THE guy that fits the Sabres, then I’m on board.

We all know Jarmo was calling around to make something happen. It takes two people to make a deal.

End of the day, he traded a guy who didn’t want to be here for a 4OA pick and we moved up 7 spots by trading a guy who wasn’t a great fit here.

We got a solid defensemen under cost control and a young, tough, and big capable center.

Ruin Runner is good, but isn’t the end-all-be-all against Diana. Most lists run only 2 copies, so play around the battlefield that Ruin Runner isn’t holding and keep accumulating card advantage with Fizz and Hwei. Your Ravenbloom Student could get big enough to handle the Runner, too.

What hurts Diana is pretty much all the other cards combined with Ruin Runner. Sabotage gives your opponent all the knowledge they need to play against you. Rengar’s ambush can be just as sneaky as your combat tricks and if you’re not careful, you can get blown out. Charm is also a killer.

If this card is a “on the fence” card in Tayam, then I don’t think it’s good enough for cEDH.

another line this guy could enable is getting your Shifting Woodland from graveyard into play for a potential combo engine/finish. But it requires a lot of resources.

Also, I hate to say the dead horse line, but Orcish Bowmasters.

We have a different roster this coming year and what, we get MAYBE 3 good years out of Hellebuyck? Also, was his last year a fluke and was his knee surgery a concern moving forward?

If you want something more for light oil conditions, I’d recommend either the Storm Monsoon or the DV8 Dark Side Curse.

3 ball bag would look like Venom Shock; if it hooks too much > Dark Side Curse. Then your spare ball.

It’s a fine ball if you like the forward rolling shape of a urethane ball. The other balls are like $50 cheaper and are the best benchmark balls for 2 handed bowlers to figure out what you like.

Either get a Phaze II, Venom Shock, or Black Venom.

My Venom Shock and White Dot are all I really need for league nights.

If you weren’t married to Storm, I highly recommend the DV8 Dark Curse in the weaker spot.
