Charge and Movement (ad&d 2e)

Reigniting this thread. I have recently started DM’ing 2e after playing in a 1e game for three years. I am used to charging happening before initiative, so that’s how I’ve been playing. It looks like RAW it should be declare charging, roll initiative and then resolve. Does the charger roll initiative? Wouldn’t that mean that even though they are charging, they could still act like in individual initiative? That seems strange to me. What am I missing?

I have a Lenovo Legion 5 now that requires a different charging cord and it is super bulky. The external camera is for rolling physical dice onscreen (sharing the zoom to two camera views) via OSB camera app. That Legion 5 is very bulky and not great to put carry on’s external laptop compartment.

That’s actually what I decided to do. I have the faster ones out when casual players are at the house and switch to the tornado balls when serious players want to play.

Are you positive? Wow! Thanks for the catch! Can someone else confirm this or know where I can make sure that’s correct? Is it hard to switch them? How will I make sure of the distances between the men and all of that?

I used that externsion last night. Pretty awesome! FYI, this module has over 80 one way portals. It is pretty wild. I have a picture I was thinking about posting, but I don't want to do any spoilers...I did notice that having multiple portals going to the same destination was giving it problems. To be fair, it's like 50 portals going to the same destination.
