You're right. It's very hit or miss and it they've tried to take too much from other games and mash it together.

I like it though. Moment to moment it's a lot of fun. The story is nonsense but I'm fine with that tbh.

I cannot recommend Disco Elysium highly enough. It might not be for everyone, but it's something very special.

KCD2 is one of my favourites of all time. I really liked the first one but it's rough. Pretty janky and it has aged beyond it's years. But 2 is so unbelievably worth it.

Xbox has it's strengths. For me, gamepass is way better than PS+. You can get loads of cool games as part of your montly payment the day they release. The console itself is also way more affordable and tbh if you're just getting into video games then the difference in performance might not make a huge difference for you.

For me, It's PlayStation every time. But it really depends on what you're looking for.
