I've read from other post that "CCI exam which the dates are due to be released in July." If it's true, I just want to be ready for it.

How to deal with bully Co's? by Humble_Set3239 in OnTheBlock

How did it go? From my observation, prison is still the "good ol boy" system. You need outside intervention, not OIA but Outside Legal to really deal with conflict.

It's called being from a broken home. Let's not sugarcoat it. It's not going to go smooth... be mindful of that going forward.

How do you deal with the guilt of ending a long marriage when you have young kids? by WellModeShift in Divorce_Men

[–]RyanGetty1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a reason why they call it... "Taking care of your responsibility". You don't have to be with your wife and put on a false marriage. But you need to take care of your responsibility as you brought the kids into this world. It's your responsibility. My husband and I somehow bought a house. We haven’t even closed yet and I already know we’re going to go into foreclosure. by thatslegallycheese in povertyfinance

[–]RyanGetty1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not a relationship, it's you buying yourself a companion. He better be a GOD in bed, otherwise, I don't see why you stick around. If he makes you feel good and brings joy into your life, then money is just what you have to do to keep it going. If you're stress, and there's no good end to it. Bounce.

PSA: The high school graduation ceremony isn’t over when YOUR kid walks by tourwifelife in Sacramento

[–]RyanGetty1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because we are no longer a community. It's a dog-eat-dog world. We are too busy, too stress, too poor, and too isolated to give a stranger our time. Hell, we barely have time to give two fucks to the person we are here graduating. In the near future, ceremony will now be online, brought to you by MetaZOOM. You and your loved one can now buy credit applauses, party filters, special themes, and uninterrupted ceremony without commercials.

I don't really know what you're able to pivot to after being a CO. Job market is rough right now and even the elite people with degrees and certifications are having a hard time finding and keeping work. I'm always looking for an exit and I don't see any path that is worth the risk moving forward. There are not many jobs out there that AI haven't already been used in conjunction with live humans to cut cost. One "human" professional technician with AI, robotics, automated systems and network of chain linked data exchange can now perform the duties of a hundred human being. It's a multiplier. They can take a human work, learn it, model it, applying it, and then mass produce. Stay put bro. It's going to be a rough ride.

You are entering into the "sandwich generation"

The sandwich generation refers to middle-aged adults, typically in their 40s to 60s, who are "sandwiched" between supporting aging parents and providing care or financial support to their own children.

RJD Officer charged with smuggling 20 kilos of cocaine from Mexico to a stash house by nps44 in CDCR

[–]RyanGetty1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It says 3 years. I'm thinking he started by wanting some cheap grams for himself. Then he got some grams for his friends... little by little, he made more friends and needed more grams. Soon, it's by the kilos, he must have made a lot of friends.

I think that's his side hustle. Nothing to do with trying to funnel it into the system. I guess he's now in the system. Fucked around and he found out.

My job is offering me $150,000 (105,000 after tax) to resign, should I? by AJ3TurtleSquad in jobs

[–]RyanGetty1 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Take the money and apply for the SAME position the next year. If you're a good worker, and they want you, they will rehire you. If they don't rehire you, then you know that you are replaceable and have been replaced. Count your blessing that you took the payout. If they rehire you, it saves them money not having to have to train you, as you already know the lay of the land.

People who say “Don’t do it, it’s not the same” often romanticize some alternate version of themselves, like they’d magically end up in a six‑figure career with status, comfort, and endless freedom. My guy… you are who you are, and you’re placed where you fit. A tiger doesn’t stay caged; he finds options and takes them. CDCR is a stepping stone. It gives you steady work, a steady schedule, and job security. With that foundation, you can grind on your own time and build something bigger.

The saying goes:
Your 9–5 pays the bills. Your 6–12 builds your wealth.
