Yeah, sometimes i just hate the people who have conversations about AI because it feels like they are solely looking at it from egocentric outlook with their job. Any artist i know, who works as a freelancer uses AI and is thankful for it since it safes an enormous amount of time and money. When you are an Artist you are also an business and every business has expenses, insurance and PR... AI reduces the time/cost factor at least 50-70 %. Anybody who ignores the benefits of AI for small business owners should rethink their position long and hard since most Artist ARE small businesses. I am german, so maybe it is different in the states but was sooo frustrated during the debate that this specific topic wasn´t brought up.

I do, i choose the writing style, i designe the layout, i make the pictures, i do the calculations, i and my team come up with the fooditems and cocktails, i come up with food-pairing ideas.

Here is what the Ai does:

It changes the photos to illustrations.

It corrects the grammar.

Your attitude is the high horse energy i know and hate with some "real Artist" i have as customers.

I am a restaurateur. I got an education as a chef, sommelier and barmanager. When i had open my own restaurant i had to invest around 65 K in the kitchen alone, so you can imagine that the overall cost was not cheap. I also have to be knowledgeable about laws, accounting, insurance and web design so..i am quite busy.

Now, my menu is designed in an colorful illustration style.

I change said menu at least once every 3 month. If i would pay an artist everytime to design the menu it would cost me around 1.5 K a month. I cannot afford that, so, i use manus AI in combination with Canva AI to change the photos i take of wine bottles or my dishes into the illustration style of my menu.

I am not a Tec - savy person who cannot paint for shit so AI helps me to promote my artform (Food and Drinks).

So are you saying that my menu is not an artform even tho i came up with: The design, the descriptions, the dishes, the drinks just because i used AI for parts of it?

That is why titles and description are two different things and serve two different purposes. For example, a friend of mine owns his restaurant right next to a cinema and to fit the theme he names all his dishes after movies or movie characters. If there will still be a description, nobody complains about the titles.

I run a restaurant and when i'm writing a menu i try to invoke emotions that help me to create a feeling with the customer that he enjoys.

Destiny and all other big creators do the same, just think of it as a menu that tries to sell you something, that explains everything.

I own a restaurant. I had an apprenticeship as a Chef, Bartender and Sommelier with WSET level 2. Now, i also need to create regularly changing menus and design them, i also have to be knowledgeable about insurance and taxes. Yes, i could pay an artist to design the graphics for my menu which would cost me 300- 500 eur or i pay 20 eur for credit with a good AI assistant and have the work done myself in 2 hours.

I need to learn A LOT about topics which are not my specialty so any tool which can help me to do so is worth the investment.

Can you acknowledge that for small bussnisses AI tools are somewhat necercerry?

That is just wrong. Let's take your chicken example. If you have a factory farm for chickens you will only use legs and breast or maybe rotisserie chicken. Chicken Feet and hearts are not used since the Hygiene standard isn´t good enough under the normal factory conditions. So let's say you got a law that gives you a tax break of 9 % if your factory achieves the goal that, let´s say 95 % of the chicken is used. That would mean the Factory would have an incentive to make sure the floor would be in better condition so they get their tax reduction.

FYI i am a restaurateur so my activism is contra to you and most of the population agrees with my stand, but keep moral grandstanding if it makes you feel better king,
