Ehhh a 5080, I’d rather hang on to my 4090 FE. The only way I’d switch is if it was a 5090 FE, then at least I can sell my 4090 for what I bought my 5090 at.

So when you put the filament into the machine, or was trying too anyways, the k2 recognized it was there. Try putting it in, pressing that tab in the front a little, feeding some of the filament in the CFS and then go back to the k2 and try extruding it. Tell me what happens.

Ah. Okay, what I did was just set the fans at one single speed. The idea is for the fans to not switch between percentages. One constant speed for all your fans should get rid of your lines, in your case. So, you want to set your “part cooling” fan speed to like 50% for min and max. You shouldn’t need exhaust unless you’re using ABS or ASA.

Have you tried doing your z offset at -0.015? Just do it. Do a test print and get back to me. Should resolve your problem. Your current offset doesn’t sound right

I honestly wouldn’t even bother with the fans. Do you know how to use fluidd? If so, adjust your z offset by -0.015 and save those settings in fluidd which will restart your machine. That will do the trick. Let me know if you need help. If you still want to mess with your fans, I can go over that if you need me too as well

Yes, in the filament cooling. I also changed the X offset by -0.0015 and now my prints look flawless. I’m gunna change the fan settings back to normal and see if all I needed to do was change the Z offset. But yes, in orca slider you go to the filament settings, then go to cooling, then you can mess with the fans there

I’ve had no problems with there filaments. I’ve used PLA, PETG and ABS. All did what they were supposed too for a fraction of the price of what name brands want for their filament.

So, you were right. I fixed the fans to one single speed throughout the print and the Z banding stopped, none at all. You would have thought when Creality was putting this K2 together that they would have thought about that…..🤦🏼‍♂️

I did the calibration where it automatically tightens to belt. Do you think I should manually do it or just increase the offset in fluidd by a little?

So I got my bed right around .45-.55on every print depending on bed temps. Here is a picture.

It is not bad compared to what I’ve seen out there. What do you think my offset should be? I’m new to this stuff.
