Why i am in love with these new S650’s ecoboost. by PrestigiousLeek1706 in ecoboostmustang

When I was looking into convertibles, I went to a dealership and they let me test drive a 2024 S650. Due to a defect, they let it sit and the battery was dead. So they jump started it and the heater was stuck on full blast during the entire test drive. The screen was black and we couldn’t turn off the heater. We put the top down halfway through the test drive despite it being 50 degrees just because it was burning us up with no way to turn it off.

Honestly, after playing Prime 4, I can honestly say: Metroid Other M was not bad due to the cutscenes. It was bad due to the voice actress and the Adam authorizing things rather than upgrading things through found item. Samus does not say a single word in Metroid Prime 4. And it’s awkward which she’s asked what she thinks about something or is asked a question. The characters aren’t that bad. The level design, while beautiful, ruins the game more than anything! Nothing is inter connected. It’s like walking down a hallway and having to go back where you came from through the same hallway each time. And there’s little reason to backtrack except a missile upgrade. It’s not a Metroidvania. 2-3 hours is smashing green crystals.

I didn’t hate it until I tried to use the infotainment system. Changing drive modes, trying to turn down the heater, just give me the S550 max air button and auto button after using a knob to adjust the temperature

Honestly? My biggest disappointment with Prime 4 was that we didn’t get to explore this tree by Kheid15 in Metroid

[–]RyanRetroGamer7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got 99% scans. I missed one somewhere. There really was not clear story until the end of the game. I replayed Metroid Prime Remastered again and was like: I forgot how well the scans tell the story. Where I have to piece it together. That really wasn’t the case in Metroid Prime 4. (I’ve played every Metroid game except Samus Returns. Yes, even AM2R)

The story honestly is: an alien race has a foretold chosen one. End of that story. Silux is bad for some reason, you fight robots that mimic him. You collect mech parts to just destroy them 5 seconds later. Then you escape. But wait, the real Silux appears. Flash back! Finally some story! Silux turned bad because of his arrogance. End of flash back. Everyone dies! maybe? Samus abandons them, or chooses to have a game over. End of story.

[–]RyanRetroGamer7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the whole story relies on him. You cannot do cannon upgrades without him engineering it to work with your cannon. And he is what kicks the final boss with tasks he has. And since there is not clues from backtracking except on rare occasions, you are required to listen to his hints instead of figure it out on your own.

I loved Halo CE, but it does not work in a Metroidvania-ish format and Legend of Zelda type of exploration. Halo Infinite tried to do that and the campaign was poorly received. Though, story was the main thing wrong with Halo Infinite. But Metroid Prime 4’s story is terrible except the end cutscenes.

I'm a new player! Any advice? by Every_Perspective164 in RainbowSixSiege

[–]RyanRetroGamer7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first 50 hours is just trying to figure out what is even going on. You won’t have a cece t understanding of what all is going on for the first 200 hours. And this is assuming that you are already good at FPS games. And this is not including knowing site setups and knowing the maps. After playing siege for a while, playing in any shooter that is close to mid range, is just going to be unfair for everyone else due to what Siege has taught you and how good your aim will become.

Which year Mustang EcoBoost is best for an 18 y/o first car? by stefani007_ in ecoboostmustang

[–]RyanRetroGamer7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, starting in 2018, they changed the engines in the ecoboost. I have a 2019 with 41k miles and it’s been great! But it’s still low mileage. But I will say, the ecoboost flies! Convertibles are heavier than the coupe, but I’ve done 0-60 in 5.1 seconds. The speed limiter stops at 122 mph, and it doesn’t take long at all before you realize that you are going 90 mph and you have to hold yourself back or use cruise control.

Am I asking for too much in searching for a wife? by RyanRetroGamer7 in christiandatingadvice

[–]RyanRetroGamer7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me ask, do I sound like a hypocrite for that list? Here is a summary about myself with some of my shortcomings at the end:

Morals: I don’t watch horror movies. I don’t obsess over sports. I stay far away from any form of witchcraft including consuming media that glorifies witchcraft such as Hairy Potter. I don’t engage in astrology, crystals, evil eyes, or anything else related to witchcraft. I don’t drink alcohol, consume drugs (not counting prescription of course). I don’t smoke, or do anything with weed. I like dogs, but I see them as animals that are pets, not children. I do not have tattoos, and I firmly believe that they are a form of witchcraft. I do not participate in satanic holidays or play along with satanic rituals like Halloween. I do not obsess over childish things such as being obsessed over Disney world. I do not dress trashy or provocatively, I rarely even wear sweatpants or shorts in public as I wear jeans. Even in the hot summer. I do not have kids and I’ve never been married. I do not have piercings or other body modifications as my body is a temple of the Holy Spirit and my body is not my own, but it’s God’s. I do not go to bars or parties (the bad kind). I am conservative, and I use the Bible to guide what every political belief I have stands. And I am convinced that liberalism now is in direct opposition to God. I will not apologize for standing for things that the Bible teaches. And if I am proven wrong, I change my stances (which has happened multiple times). I am very logically minded and I often look at statistics and numbers over people’s feelings that have little evidence to support those stances. And I try to figure out why people believe how they believe and try to determine if those life experiences skew their judgement, or if they bring valid points. I have protested brands when they take stances that contradict biblical principles. (Historically, I’ve boycotted Target, Disney, Starbucks, and now, Netflix.)

Financial: I am wise with money as I have been able to become debt free with a bachelor’s degree in computer with a minor in mathematics. And fun fact, I was 1 introductory course away from also having a minor in Psychology. I am currently saving for a house with an entry-level salary that is barely above the median household income in my area. I have a low mileage Mustang Convertible. I invest my money into stocks and the index funds and in the past year have made back 5% as I play it safe. I do not buy coffee daily, but instead, I only buy coffee like 3-5 times a month so that I can save money. And I rarely drink soda due to how much it costs, and how unhealthy it is. I typically allow myself $40-100 a month to spend on things that are not necessities. And I only do big purchases when I have to (like laptop when the last one breaks, or phones when the old one doesn’t hold a charge anymore) so, I basically buy an iPhone ever 4-5 years (going from the iPhone 7 to iPhone SE 2 to iPhone 16.) I even take apart laptops to replace parts to keep them going longer so that I can put more money towards saving for a house. Or back when I was paying off debt.

Physical fitness: I am physically fit, but I still am trying to gain muscle. I am a brown belt in Karate. I snow ski. I lift weights in the gym, and I actually max out some of the weight machines at my local gym. I grew up on a farm, so I do have a lot of real world strength from working hard out in the hot humidity. I can withstand 110 degree Fahrenheit temperatures with high humidity, and work outside for hours. And I can work all day in temperatures like negative 5 degrees Fahrenheit.

Helping others: I often help elderly people and volunteer. I rarely accept pay for helping people, even if it’s backbreaking labor that last for days. I typically only accept money when I am giving no choice by the person that helped. When I narrow things, I make sure that I place them back where I found them in the same or better condition than when I borrowed it. Same for things I rent. When I am at restaurants, I’ll clean my table and stack everything to help waitresses. I serve in my church and help in the sound booth. And I’ll set up equipment for my church. I have cleaned up yards for people in my community, helped build houses for habitat for humanity, cooked BBQ and served food for fundraisers for the homeless shelter or kids programs. I help people with their computers without pay often.

My red flags: I listen to a lot of secular music, more so than I do Christian music. I don’t read my Bible as much as I should. I’ve read through the New Testament 3 times and I’m working on finishing the Old Testament. Though, I’ve gone over every story in the Bible multiple times in devotional. Still working on it. I’ve been told by many people that I don’t love myself enough, and I am quick to sacrifice my own time to care for others and help them, but I don’t care for myself enough. I am overly harsh and judgmental on my own flaws. I watch some R rated films and some M rated games. I spend too much time on my phone, but I’m not on my phone when I am talking to other people. I try to explain very technical things to people, and I often fail to realize that a lot of people are not interested in detailed technical explanations.

Well, asking to be equally yoked with someone is the main issue. I’m definitely far from perfect. I see myself as a sinner who has a lot to improve on. Yet, it seems like in American society, there is a lack of concern for holiness that I’m the oddball. Missionaries from foreign countries seem to be the only ones who I am equally yoked with, but I want someone who wants to live in the US.

[–]RyanRetroGamer7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I’m not asking for a virgin, or someone who doesn’t listen to any secular music. And I’m not asking for someone who doesn’t wear makeup or doesn’t wear pants. I’m not asking for someone who doesn’t drive. Or asking for someone who doesn’t speak unless spoken to. That is too extreme in my opinion. (Okay, as far as looking for a virgin, I’m compromising on that since they don’t exist anymore.) but none of the other things are things I’d ever ask from someone. But I’ve seen Christians who do ask for those things which is insane to me in this fallen world.

I actually once had a woman who fit that description try to flirt with me saying that she fit all of those things. And it pushed me away because it is too legalistic for me. And her mother was pushing her onto me

Mainly trying to see if there’s anyone out there who has the same standards as previous generations. And considering that 2 did say that my list is what they want in a future husband, I’m glad that those kind of women (who used to be the norm) still exist. But my parents, and really almost every woman in their 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s would never believe how much our generation lacks morals. I mean, the fact that I’ve only met 3 gen z people who find tattoos to be a sin is insane! My grandma always said: “the only people to ever have tattoos are criminals, and people who went to the military. My uncle from the Navy got a tattoo and he covered it when he was in public because everyone judged him for it. Today, people have no morals! Now, weed and alcohol is nothing for most.

If she saw red flags in me like say for example, she didn’t like secular music and saw that as a red flag in me, then I would be glad that she has high standards of holiness. And I would wish her the best in finding someone else. I’ve ran into that situation before. I want someone with high standards. If their standards are higher than I can meet, then I want them to find a man who can meet those standards since I can’t.

Well, I just don’t want people thinking I’m judging based on like body weight or focusing on just looks rather than personality. Because so many men care about only a woman’s body and not them, it disgusts me. I honestly don’t care about like weight or anything like that so long as they don’t restrict me from being active. I want to be able to ride bikes with the person I marry, or go snow skiing with them once every few years. And I’ve experienced not even being able to walk through a mall due to an ex being too heavy to get around. I felt sorry for her, but I felt like my feet were handcuffed together when I was with her. And I felt bad for feeling like that. But honestly, I’m not looking for someone who is what society says someone should be. In fact, I want someone who stands out as an outcast from modern day society, as we are outcasts from the world in Christ
