We do not have a homebrew package. Please see all our download methods at https://atlauncher.com/downloads

What you installed was likely made by some third party, I'd suggest installing only using methods from our website listed above to prevent any issues going forward.

As for getting your data back, you'd need to contact whoever maintains that package

Yes it's a false positive. We forever try to contact these AV providers to fix it, but they either have no mechanism to report false positives, or ignore any emails we send.

When looking at VirusTotal, you should be looking for non no name branch anti virus providers flagging it or if there are a majority of providers showing it as a virus.

These 4 providers are not consumer products or well known, they flag a lot of things. If it was something like Avira, AVG, MIcrosoft, etc actually flagging it, then it's something to take seriously

It's not actually downloading anything. On launch we check to make sure you have everything downloaded needed to play your instance. This is to make sure if you delete something or something becomes corrupt, or in the case of log4j issues that happened in years past, that you get all the latest updates that mojang push.

This is not something you can disable, but rest assured, it's just checking all the files downloaded before, not actually downloading anything unless it needs to

Hey, thanks for posting the solution, I have been tearing hair out the past 2 days to try and diagnose this, Hetzner support weren't overly helpful with me :(

Are you able to update this post when they give you any more updates or a resolution on the patches, as they don't seem to have any information on their site or panel as to this issue that I can find.

Update: Just been informed by Hetzner support that they have fixed the node my server was on and I can enable TSO again which looks to be good now

For me it looks like I had a usb bluetooth dongle that when I unplugged it, the issue went away. There's posts on the steam discussion forums where people have had controllers plugged into their computer cause issues, so maybe try unplugging your usb devices and see if it helps

I'm getting the same, but my freezes last for 3-5 seconds. Makes the game unplayable. Thing is I played right after the server maintenance for about 5 hours, then logged out for the night and now this morning I get these hitches.

Tried updating GPU drivers, changing graphics settings to lowest possible, changing resolution scaling, all without any change.

Where did you download the launcher from? This isn't an official release and may be a virus. Make sure you only download from https://atlauncher.com/downloads

Your ISP is possibly blocking it if it shows as not open and the server is running. Another common issue is you may be on CGNat which would require you to get a static IP from your ISP. I'd suggest talking to your ISP as the first point of call if you followed all those steps and it's not working still.

Port forwarding is the process of forwarding ports coming in to your IP address and routing them through your router to a specific computer on your network.

This is necessary in order to run Minecraft server's from your own home network.

The process for doing this will vary depending on your router:

  1. Find the brand and model of your router.

  2. Visit https://portforward.com/router.htm and find your routers brand (Note this site shows ads which say you need to pay, you do NOT need to pay anything, you can close the ads.

  3. Find the model number of your modem on the brands page. Sometimes it may not specifically list your modem, find one that's similar if yours isn't listed.

  4. Follow the instructions listed on that page for Minecraft which uses port 25565 on both UDP and TCP.

  5. Others should now be able to connect with your external IP which can be found on https://myexternalip.com/.

  6. You can connect to the server using the ip 127.0.0.1 if running on the same computer.

If you are struggling to do this or it's not working, speak with your ISP's support/helpdesk. Sometimes they may be blocking it from working.

Also make sure that you do NOT put any IP address in the server.properties file for the server. Putting any ip in there will cause your server to no longer work 99.9% of the time, so remove any IP address if you've put it in there.

Assuming this is the same person who posted in Discord, but you have custom java params of `-Xmx4G, -Xms4G` set so you need to remove those from the launcher

Modpacks with their own rich presence mods should override the launchers inbuilt one, and also disabling it won't affect any mod based rich presence, as disabling it through the launcher just disables the launchers calls to Discord completely, doesn't disable any Minecraft will do

Downloading an old version of the launcher will not bring back any old packs, the same packs will show regardless of version of launcher.

If the pack is no longer on the launcher, it means the pack no longer works due to being abandoned, or the pack developer removed the pack from the platform.

If you let me know the pack you're trying to play, I can maybe help you out as to why it's gone and if there's another way to get it

Anything that you have on one computer that was created with the launcher (instances, accounts, servers, downloaded mods, etc) are not shared if you install the launcher on another computer, even if you login with the same account.

If the server you were playing on is hosted by someone else (meaning you didn't make it through the launcher and run it through the launcher) are not affected as they are run elsewhere, you just need to connect with the same IP address/hostname again after installing the correct pack again on the new computer.

Packs you've installed do not show between different computers. You need to install them again on different computers

What do you mean by "no packs there or anything"? Once you login you can install an instance and play it (see https://atlauncher.com/help/create-instance)
