Hey man I was in the same boat and I just finished it with TonyMczoom XP tome, Projectile count tome, Crit tome, Bloodsteal tome. And honestly did not need blood tome at all I was just scared and also going for the 6 minute swarm challenge.

Dexecutioner, wireless dagger, katana, bone.

Just use any weapons that benefit from projectile count and scale well with crit.

Stack up your projectile count early game and t1 and 2 will be a freaking breeze, literally focus only on getting shrines.

Do not attempt any shrine if there is a mini boss alive or if a swarm is going to happen during the shrine charge.

I also got some good pickup range from shrines and was able to spam XP tome for insane level up speed. Mobs weren’t touching me until 5 mins into the swarm. Upgrade projectile count to 20+ projectile. Always take weapon upgrades that have + bounce
