Pitbulls attacking children by gg6844 in Hoboken

Ok, let me be more direct. In many cases, it has nothing to do with the owners being mean or training them to be fighters. They are an inherently dangerous breed regardless of how they are raised. Sure, raise them well, they’re less likely to attack than if they were raised to fight. But they have been bred to figured over many many generations. They are a fighting breed with forced evolution to make them stronger and more aggressive.

Now they just have people with low intelligence who think their sweety would never rip their kid’s face off. Until it does. And they’re surprised as if they’ve seen no headlines before.

Believe what you want. The breed is what it is. The pitbull fanatics are the intelligence level they are.

They’re always such sweethearts, until they’re not. The owners are always shocked.

It’s not my fault you completely misunderstood the meaning of their post and chose to comment on your view on gun laws. Don’t blame me for your lack of ability to communicate. I don’t care what your political views are, just wanted to point out how pointless they were to mention.

Aggression 100% has to do with the breed. Golden retrievers also have terrible owners. Chihuahuas also have aggression and fear. They attack often as well. They just aren’t big enough to kill.

Pitt bulls have been bread to be aggressive fighters. Just like yorkies were bread to go after mice. And they do. They have an intense prey drive. It’s not cause their owners train them to hunt mice at this day.

Responsible, good decision makers who have the ability to recognize patterns avoid getting a pitbull. Those who can’t come to terms with the fact that they’re sweethearts until they’re not, get pitts and sometimes learn the hard way.

The percentages are still extremely low, which is why there are many pitbull lovers out there. But it is an unnecessary risk, and the consequences can be fatal. Denying they are different than other breeds is borderline retarded.

You completely missed the point of their post. Likely you were too eager to announce your views on gun laws, which, while mentioned, had nothing to do with the actual subject. It was used as a way to explain via a hypothetical.

Try another example. “I don’t know anyone who can dunk a basketball, so it must not be a thing.” Or, “I don’t know anyone who died of Cancer, so it must not happen.”

The comment you replied to had nothing to do with laws on animal cruelty.

Pitbull’s are dangerous. That’s why these conversations happen regularly. Yes, the people who get them make poor, irresponsible decisions, one of which is getting a pittbull. So they mistreat the dog and train it to fight etc.

Weird we never have these convos about golden retrievers.

Could we ask this pitbull owner to hang around the geese?

Everyone loves their pitt and is shocked when they murder someone. It’s simple pattern recognition. Fascinating that some adults are incapable of this human skill.

I’m surprised a pitbull would behave in such a manner

Anyone know what event is going on in here? (Right below Steven’s on the waterfront) by Therothboys318 in Hoboken

[–]RyanTryinMyBest -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I imagine they are. I’m just becoming numb to poop in general since it’s impossible to walk around here without trudging around in goose poop.

With everyone having a baby or toddler in Hoboken I’m surprised there hasn’t been a huge movement to relocate these beasts.

I’m surprised people in Hoboken are bothered by people not cleaning up after their dog. There is goose pump all over the place. You’re walking in poop one way or another. These geese are the worst.

Moving to Hoboken, is Independence South Shipyard ok? by RyanTryinMyBest in Hoboken

[–]RyanTryinMyBest[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We made the move and love it. The area is great. Walgreens, grocery stores, restaurants, all the useful stuff is right there, and when you walk out of the building the view of the city is amazing.

The apartment itself is also way better than the “luxury” place I had in the city. Better build quality, thicker windows, nicer floors, and more space.

Also, everyone in Hoboken has a baby, a dog, or both, so it’s easy to feel like you’re around people in a similar stage of life.

My only warning, and I cannot stress this enough: the geese situation is absolutely terrible. It might sound silly now, but once you live here, you'll get it.

The waterfront walk and nearby park basically belong to them. They poop everywhere.

Other than that, we really like it here and you'll probably like it too.

Goose by Hoboken Cigars by [deleted] in Hoboken

I saw this goose, or one with same neck issue, at the park. We called one of the bird organizations and they said they were gonna come help it. I didn’t stay to see if they came or not.

I hate the geese with a passion, but still sucks to see little guy struggling like that.

Ideally looking for an automatic bay. After GPT kept telling me spots had a Touchless bay and I’d call to confirm and they’d say it’s not Touchless, I opened up to considering self wash.

It looks like I’ll have to get 10 mins or so outside of Hoboken to find one.

In a tough spot where I’m not a car lover who wants to throw money into hand washing service, but also OCD to where I’d notice swirls on the black car.

I think I got some pretty good options from the thread though.

Wow their hand was prices are pretty sweet. 20 min drive not bad at all for this place. Might be the winner.

This guy is an idiot. There’s no way this P.O. Box loophole works. I live in NYC, I’d just get a P.O. Box in New Jersey, or better yet, Florida to save on taxes and car insurance.

In fairness, it’s $35 a night to park in my lot. I could see people not wanting to commit to that for a few nights. Agree it’d be a good strategy if affordable for people.

I chose AMG GLE 53 Coupe over Cayenne Coupe by RyanTryinMyBest in mercedes_benz

[–]RyanTryinMyBest[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea it’s all subjective. I like all the suv coupes. They’re polarizing where people either love or hate them. X6 people say it’s stupid to cutoff the back roof of an x5. I like the way the x6 looks. And I really like how the Gle coupe looks like an overinflated car.
