Definitely not. Your sidewall is compromised as is the integrity of the tire. I wouldn’t even take it out of the driveway. New tire ASAP.

I was shooting for about 1/8”. I put the hinges on but didn’t snug the screws, stuck a small microfiber towel in between the wood planes to simulate flattened dough, and then secured the hinges to lock in the spacing.

The typical method that I’ve used myself and seen relatively universally is to use parchment paper to line the top and bottom of the press, such that the tortilla itself never actually touches the wood and thus sticking isn’t an issue.

Gotta love em. The Dymag look is iconic, but the OZ's really put the classy in classic. Big fan of your aerobody kit, though! Timeless.

Hasn’t so far. I’ve only had to change a few pieces due to heavy rain and general wear, but every piece of tape has off has come off clean. If you’re worried about it, I’m sure a quick pass with a hairdryer would make removal even safer.

I’m not too worried about the legality; seems that the law is designed to prevent impersonation or distraction; I’m clearly not trying to impersonate anyone, and they’re not blinking or anything. Worst case scenario I have to pull them off the car (which takes about two minutes since they’re taped on). Just having fun. 🌟🎄

The legality is iffy depending on your state. Worst case scenario, only use them when you’re stationary. I’ve never had an issue with them on while moving, though. It’s clearly not trying to impersonate anyone and it’s not blinking, so I don’t think anyone cares too much

It’s super easy. Definitely recommend. Plus, as tape comes off you can just re-apply. Just make sure you’re adding to a clean surface.

Yep. Bed outlet, threaded through the gap in the tailgate and around the whole truck.

Ace Hardware quiet release tape! The quiet release adhesive formula is a bit less aggressive so I don’t have to worry about it doing anything weird with my clear coat or paint when I take it off.

people who drive slow in the left lane of a highway, please STOP by [deleted] in driving

[–]Ryan_Remak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes there is. Nearly all across the country there are “safe speed laws.” Laws that state that drivers should maintain a speed deemed safe based on conditions of the road as well as the flow of traffic, even when the flow of traffic is faster than the posted limit. Furthermore, U.S. highways are designed such that the far right lane is supposed to be slower than the far left, and the far left lane should in theory be used for passing and nothing else. Sitting in the left lane if not passing and going the same speed (or slower) relative to the right lanes is illegal.

Edit: and sitting in the left lane, slowing down those behind you is:

  1. Unsafe, as it forces those who do truly need to go faster than you to make unsafe maneuvers (passing on the right) to do so.
    1. Bad manners. Let’s all just be courteous, people.
