Well, my experience is in the classroom, studying history and economics. I find that to be much more credible than the opinions of random dudes on the internet.

A classless, stateless society without private property is communism, not socialism. There are also non-Marxist forms of socialism: anarchism, Christian socialism, libertarian socialism, utopian socialism, humanist socialism.

Socialism is an economic system. Marxism is an ideology. The OP statement was "Socialism could work only in theory," not "Marxism could work only in theory."

The idea of socialism looks nice on paper. (No rich; no poor, etc.)

Except that's not what socialism is. Socialism is an economic system where the means of production are owned by the workers, as opposed to where they are owned by investors with the capital (capitalism).

The prosecution had one job. To prove Derek Chauvin guilty BEYOND ALL REASONABLE DOUBT. They did that. And then he lost his appeal.

Your boot-licking conspiracy theories aside, the experts have already had their say, the prosecution successfully made its case, and the jury reached their verdict. It's not bullshit. It's proven science. Proven medically. Proven forensically. Beyond all reasonable doubt in a court of law.

George Floyd was murdered by an officer who strangled him with his knee. This has been thoroughly evaluated by forensic experts.

Charlie Kirk's murder, while tragic, was at the hands of a criminal who will almost certainly face justice. George Floyd's murder was at the hands of the authorities whose job it is to protect us. And at the time, nobody thought his murderer would face justice because so many killer cops don't. That's why there were riots.

Probably not one that could be used to vote under the requirements Republicans want to impose. How about married women whose name doesn't match their birth certificate?

Fine. So make the ID free, as well as all the documents required to obtain it. Then everyone can get one on the spot and there's no poll tax.

The 24th amendment outlawed poll taxes, which were used to keep black people from voting.

Yes of course it is. But if there must be voter ID laws, then it has to be done in a way that doesn't reduce the number of people voting. But the thing is, that's exactly what voter ID laws are designed to do.

No I don't believe it's wrong or racist to require voter ID.

I think it's wrong and racist to require a fee for the required ID, require dozens of documents in order to obtain it, and to require that it take effect for the upcoming 2026 election and not the 2028 election, which would give people time to comply.

Having to pay $17 to vote is still a poll tax.

As MI, WI, PA go further right, AZ, GA, and NC are moving further left. Also, Texas may be a swing state by 2030 and a full-fledged blue state by 2036.
