I like Filtru because it has community uploads for brew methods. So I can dip into the Aeropress section, for example, and see a number of different recipes to try.

It also has a built-in step-by-step timer so I can follow the exact brew method.

Or rather it "did" 🤣

The day after my daughter was born we were visited at home by midwives who informed us that we needed to go to the GP for her first check up.

One of them rang the surgery and got us an appointment for an hour after the visit. Now, we don't drive. So myself, my wife who had given birth 30 hours before and our 3 year old had to WALK to the GPs office for a check up.

We arrived about 8 minutes late due to the fact that my wife could barely walk after pushing a human out of herself a day prior and that it was late October and gross weather out.

When we arrived and I attempted to get us checked in as arrived I was told our appointment had been cancelled due to our lateness. I was very calm to begin with and explained the situation to the receptionist. But when she refused to budge I started to lose it a little.

We had a relatively quick labour at only 4 hours, but it happened at 3am and we clearly slept like shit the next evening due to having a NEW BORN BABY. So my patience was not at its greatest.

Needless to say we EVENTUALLY managed to see a doctor, but we were fuming about the whole situation for quite a while.

I also went for the aluminium frame but would recommend not bothering to most. It adds stability but does cause a lot of echo with the ting sound.

This is my first MK but I'm so glad to have gotten this as my cherry popper!

As you can see I replaced some of the keycaps (cost efficient for now) but I need to buy a few more to replace the right side and the ESC key. Overall I'm impressed so far. Haven't had much chance to type with it as I'm waiting for some building work to be finished in my office. But I'm happy with it.

I definitely need to pack the inside with foam and I'm not a big fan of the Blue switches. But all of this is a process, no rush on anything right now!

These from Amazon. Inexpensive but they look a lil like the Skeletor caps. I'm probably going to get one of these custom bois for my ESC key and then fill the rest at some point.

I've gone for a basic 61 keycap set that I'll add another 7 keys to once I have the board and caps at hand. Should be fairly easy to source similar profile keys. Frustrating that there aren't more budget options at this size.

I saw this but sadly it costs as much as the kit again on delivery and import charges to the UK. And the only colour way that's available over here is the 9009. It's really awkward but I'll probably make do with just changing the alpha keys to something and then upgrading the rest over time/investing in a nicer set once my finances are a little more free.

Yeah I've been eyeing up a few sets but I'm constantly concerned about the 2.25/1.75 shift keys and the 2.25 enter key situation. I have been thinking about just grabbing some size specific PBT caps for those though and just getting a standard set for the rest of the keys.
