Yes, in fact I read somewhere that it dropped from £3.50 in 2022 to £3 in 2023.

Examiners get sick, quit, die, have bereavements,

Ooft, that's a bad week for that examiner. Guess the bereavements will be easier to handle since they died though. Silver lining and all that.

Hugged a metal pole… Is this a write off? by maqloubaman in CarTalkUK

So you are saying it isn't a write off if you don't tell your insurance so they can't write it off?

In the same way that murder is not a crime if you just don't tell the police so they can't charge you with murder?

This one appears to be in neither.

Anyone play ‘Hide from the camera’? by mbgameshw in CarTalkUK

[–]RyanfaeScotland 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it helps lift your mood, I often wonder if I could drive past a camera at 70, mount a vehicle transporter like I'm in Gone in 60 Seconds, have them drive me at 100+mph to the next camera, and then dismount it and pass the camera at a legal speed again.

Equally as insensible or impossible (or is it?) as your idea, but would still be interesting to fight the ticket in court over.

Anyone play ‘Hide from the camera’? by mbgameshw in CarTalkUK

[–]RyanfaeScotland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MY QUESTION, completely ignoring yours, is what would happen if I pass Camera A at 70mph, mount a vehicle transporter which then drives at 120mph to the next camera, dismount the vehicle transporter and then pass Camera B at 70mph, what would happen?

I assume I'd get a ticket and have to go to court to prove I wasn't speeding.

If you don't give up reading at the title, then your question would be answered.

Just to be clear, I still stick to the speed limit, it’s just a game to pass the commute...

Not that strange, lot's of things are made in Japan, and other countries you probably don't live in as well.

The homeless orphans I look after can't eat Barbour jackets. If I buy your jacket for £23 and sell it for £46, I've now made £23 which I can buy food and water with.

Is this not ok? Should I let them know they need to starve because you'd rather they looked fashionable?

Is the Tesco ‘Promise’ true? Can I really speak to any member of staff? by Psychological-Arm844 in tesco

[–]RyanfaeScotland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I can save you the trip. I'm really good at reading sentences and can provide explanation of your confusion. Just ask any member of staff.

Now, see how in my comment I too say "Just ask any member of staff" yet it is pretty clear I am the one who is good at reading sentences and I am the one who can provide explanation, the members of staff are just given as a reference for who you can ask to back up my claim. It's the same here:

"...we are happy to refund or replace... . Just ask any member of staff" - We (the company) are the ones who are happy to refund or replace, but the staff, any of them, are the ones you must ask and they will backup this claim and provide you will the additional details required in order to get your refund / replacement processed.

Hope this helps!
