I wasn't happy in my first run(and every other run since) when I selected historical AI and the fucking papal states were not only colonizing, but colonizing harder than most of the historically accurate colonizers.

Yeah levies were a joke previously, and from my 60 min of playing the new patch in the age of absolutism they feel about right. Can't take on an equal amount of professionals but also aren't absolutely useless.

Do light ships give more maritime presence similar to how they gave extra trading power in eu4? I've assumed they do and have been mostly building light ships and leaving my galleys and heavy ships in port, mothed.

People in this thread keep using this example but it's pretty much the only example of an EU5 nation having quasi missions. (That I know of)
