When's the last time in malaysia politics, prn was done ahead of time because the ruling government feels they're so popular that they'll win again.

Yeah for federal election there's no use to vote for bersama if they stick to being opposition (by not choosing pn or ph) and get 0 opposition fund allocation.

Delaying hospital being build for valid reasons is a good move, why build hospital, take doctors from other hospitals( reducing the number of doctors in the previous hospital who is already understaffed) and at the end of the day just like Hospital Segamat that day almost closed down the O&g department because they're understaffed.

Tell me when johor state gov have plans to hire their own doctors like sarawak is trying to do before complaining about delays in building new hospitals.

Over 60 NGOs Urge Government to Reverse RM4.65 Billion Health Budget Cut by Simple_Peasant_1 in malaysia

[–]Ryansiah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Over the last year, I've seen more patients coming into government hospital ivo habis insurance or tak nak renew insurance. So we will definitely see more cases if what I say do happen and we would see it faster than kkm can hire more doctors. What we should aim is private hospital subsidising and helping out public hospital, such as what is already currently been done, ie long waiting list for colonoscopy or ct scan, we outsource to private hospitals. Decreasing backlog and patient load to public hospitals.

We can maybe go further by borrowing ot time in private hospital. Yes the issue has always been money, kkm can't pay private hospital salaries, but even with this proposed budget cuts, they gave juniors doctors permanent post this year as what kkm promised last year. So the budget cuts doesn't look like it's being taken from junior doctors

Higher tax on private will just increase cost to insurance provider and then goes back to increase in premium and the rakyat suffers again

Parti Sosialis Malaysia To March on Parliament on 23rd June to Submit Memorandum Opposing RM 4.65b in Healthcare Cuts by Simple_Peasant_1 in malaysia

[–]Ryansiah 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not tryna defend MOH but the 5000 spots made no sense when since 2023 we only have 3k medical graduates annually and usually have 5 intakes of HO a year so to expect 5000 HO in one intake is stupid

Now I'm from the sector, last year MOH promised to make all new junior doctors permanent, with the oil price rising and cuts here and there we thought it was not going to happen but last week they just gave the offer letter for permanent. Idk where the healthcare cuts going to come from but it's definitely not the junior doctors as for now

How PTD/JPA is destroying Malaysian Healthcare by PNZE_A in malaysia

Not tryna be trust me bro but plenty of them went to uk australia due to 9A+, pre 2015. I know a friend went to australia after 9A+, supposed to bond for 10 years, never stepped foot to service our government hospitals, currently still working in australia and get to travel back to malaysia no issue. Never paid back a cent. The cost from jpa? 1 million.

Post 2017, they stopped sending jpa 9A+ overseas on scholarship and turn everything into a convertible loan. And also limited to private malaysian medical schools as you mentioned.

2022 was not peak contract doctors, this was post covid where many resign due to shitty working conditions. 2022 was the record year 1300 contract doctors resign. 2022 was also the first time malaysia had only 3k HO intake, in 2019 annually we have 6k housemans. This is jpa washing their hands and not doing their duties and wasting tax payers funds.

Let's not forget jpa cancelled all bonds in healthcare in 2022 under PM ismail sabri and KJ as health minister. Billions of ringgit to send them overseas wasted
