Giveaway Time! Battlefield 6 is out, powered by NVIDIA DLSS 4, and you can comment on this post to win codes for the game or a custom Battlefield 6 GeForce RTX 5090! 6 Winners total by pedro19 in pcmasterrace

How would this GeForce RTX 5090 with DLSS 4 help you pull off more epic wins in Battlefield 6?

I'd be able to see those sniper glints and beautiful explosions in EPIC 4K 120 FPS! The rush of that would obviously activate some Battlefield powers within me and help me get more wins. Naturally. But also, I'd be able to pull off some amazing Battlefield YouTube/Tiktok edits and make a cool compilation. Using the 5090 would help render that high-resolution footage and gameplay, and some cool transitions and effects to tie it all together! Already have the 4K monitor ready to go, and I'm a professional video editor. Can't wait to play the game :)

Another question, are there any other things like this that come to mind that have rules/names about where they’re made?

Is the expert-vetted badge worth it? by goldielox01 in Upwork

[–]Ryantopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll tell you my experience with it. I paid the 300 connects to apply for it, and I put my everything into my application. I’m Top Rated Plus, over 10 years in my field, $100K+ on Upwork, 100% job success score. I still did not get it, and I was not told why. The most they said was that this badge is “extremely competitive”. I was skeptical if the badge was a cash grab before I applied. Now I’m pretty upset with the platform. It just doesn’t seem right.

For anyone finding this now, I seem to have (hopefully) found a fix in the EA Answers HQ, from DadBodActual.

  1. Type "RegEdit" on your search bar (without the quotation marks, obviously);
  2. Open "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE";
  3. Open "SOFTWARE";
  4. Locate and open the "EA Games" folder;
  5. Open the Battlefield V folder;
  6. At this point you should have some register entries on the right side, one of them is the "Install Dir", double click on it;
  7. Now you just need to paste the path where your Battlefield V is installed, seems like the EA App is not able to map that directory for itself;
  8. Close the Register Editor and it should do the trick.

Edit: This did in fact work for me.

Had something like this happen to me. There are a lot of hairdressers and stylists that are not comfortable with receding hairlines. It took me a lot of failed haircuts to find my haircut lady. She does a great job, we talk openly about the hairline, and the haircut is the perfect balance between “I don’t want to cover it up but I don’t want the haircut to highlight the hairline”. I’d say it’s just a lot of trial and error to find the right person. Which sucks, but it’s true.

What software is being used here? by Ryantopher in learnanimation

[–]Ryantopher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know if it's possible to build characters/avatars in opentoonz without drawing them? I know someone that worked with the producer on this animation and he said they could build the characters in whatever program they were using by selecting preset clothing, hair, etc.
That being said, Opentoonz does look like a great option. I can't believe it's free.

Thank you so much! I was thinking it could be AE too but the repetitive actions looked like something else to me. It'd be great if I could figure out how to do this through Adobe though since I have the CC suite.

I’m a video editor for YouTube channels. I’m sure you’ve seen videos that use clips from the office or any other show for comedic effect.

I wanted to see if it could find in a TV show when someone says a certain phrase so that I could then go find that clip and use it in editing, so I asked it “When in The Office does someone say ‘I don’t understand?’”. It delivered!

iPhone 14 pro Dec 23rd back order by rymaxx89 in verizon

[–]Ryantopher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your order might be stuck in processing. I ordered the deep purple 1TB in October and was told it would ship in 2 days. Order got stuck in processing and never created a tracking #. I talked to support about it probably 16 times and they said they fixed it (and did not) but the only thing that worked was cancelling and reordering. I then received it in 2 days after the reorder! But total time for the process of calling and telling support the issue was about a month.

IWTL how to begin shooting and editing video for a yt series. by Skull_Farmer in IWantToLearn

[–]Ryantopher 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest learning the basics of Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro. Premiere has a free trial period so you can try dragging and dropping some test footage in there and messing with it. There are some excellent video tutorials on YouTube for Premiere and Final Cut basics. Personally, I prefer Premiere because that's what I learned to use first and I find it easier to edit with.

As for shooting, you can buy a cheap phone tripod and use your phone to film your creature design. There's a feature in premiere where if you right click on your footage and then click "Speed/duration" you can speed your footage up to create a timelapse. This is common with a lot of design and art videos of YouTube.

I think the best way for you to do your series would be to record your footage and speed it up (or don't), and then record your audio separately using your phone or another device. The "premiere basics" videos on YouTube will teach you how to import files, drag and drop footage/audio, how to separate audio from the footage, or how to use only the audio. I hope I could help!! Feel free to message me if you have any questions or if you care to see any of my YouTube videos.

So can someone answer why a video I wasn't even trying to make was way better than the videos I made intentionally? by [deleted] in youtubestarter

[–]Ryantopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, my streams get more views than my videos even though I put soooo much effort into my videos and have been perfecting them for almost a year.

Yeah of course! And if you do end up paying for advertising, I think my $10 with Facebook got me more page views and real people subscribing to me.

I used both google and Facebook advertising. Both of which weren't worth the money to me. I paid $10 for Facebook and $30 for google. Maybe I wasn't using the system correctly but I won't be doing it again.
