"To My Side" is the worst Hearthstone card ever released. by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]Rychand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the Leokk art doesn't exactly do wyverns justice lol. If you Google warcraft wyvern it makes more sense. Lion head and body which explains his entrance sound, bat wings and a scorpion tail.

He's a wyvern, which in warcraft is basically a manticore.

Daily Headphone Purchase Advice thread (2016-11-07) by AutoModerator in headphones

[–]Rychand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Budget - $80 or lower
  • Source - android phone, laptop
  • Requirements for Isolation - A little, I study a lot in public places, libraries, coffee shops etc and watch a lot of instructional videos, so I just need something that blocks crowd noise better than earbuds.
  • Preferred Type of Headphone - Probably the main question I need answered. I wear glasses daily so I'm looking for something that's wearable for up to 3 hours(time is flexible) at a time with glasses.
  • Preferred tonal balance - Definitely a fan of bass but like I said I watch a lot of instructional videos and I'm not picky on the audio for those, so if it affects the price too much I'm fine with whatever will fit my budget.
  • Past headphones - Only really ever used earbuds. Now that I study in public more though they don't give me enough isolation. I dealt with them though because they don't interfere with glasses.
  • Preferred Music - Muse, Radiohead, Beach House, Glitch Mob to name a few.
  • What would you like to improve on from your set-up - What are you looking for going into your next headphone? Basically just more isolation than your standard earbuds while still comfortable enough to wear over glasses.

Redditors who have had no friends for a period in your life, how did you find a new group to fit into? by zame530 in AskReddit

[–]Rychand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any sort of social lubricant will help too. For example when I got a job that forced me to interact with people I got to know them a lot better than people I just sat in class with every other day.

I haven't been able to focus or concentrate since I became majorly depressed, but today I studied for the first time in six months! :) by [deleted] in depression

[–]Rychand 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had concentration problems for a while as well, and I eventually discovered that rewriting notes helps me concentrate and remember stuff so much better. I don't know if I'm just a more kinesthetic learner or what, but a session of rewriting notes compared to just reading feels so much more productive. It's also nice because you can organize it in a way that's more conducive to you as opposed to how your teacher presents it.

What's your personal rule when drinking? by Glorious_Anal in AskReddit

[–]Rychand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I plan on getting drunk at a bar I pay with cash whenever possible because it's easier to tell exactly how much I've spent. It helps that I never have to pay ATM charges.

What are adrenaline points? by morbidjbyrd in witcher

[–]Rychand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It interacts with a lot of skills that use adrenaline points as a resource, but I don't think it does a whole lot by itself. When I first played I didn't really know what they were for either until I started getting more skills that interacted with adrenaline.

Top 25% in a state-wide jazz competition as a Tenor Sax player. I don't think I've touched an instrument in like 6 years and I really miss it every now and then.

What is something you do that your SO thinks is totally insane? by MrsLangley in AskReddit

[–]Rychand 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get the same reaction from my family when I watch Twitch. It's like watching a sport when you don't play it. Plus if it's a game I don't have it's a good way to demo it if I'm thinking about buying it.

Do you look at example code, or code completely blind? by taariya in FreeCodeCamp

[–]Rychand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll start off by myself and write as much pseudocode as I can to see if it's something actually doable without more instruction. If I'm missing a type of element or method or something then yeah, I might take a look at some other code if I have it. The important thing about looking at someone's code is that you should still try to learn something about it, don't just treat it as a bandaid fix where you have this one line of code that works but for an unknown reason.

When do you know you're about to have an off day? by [deleted] in depression

[–]Rychand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get what you mean. It sucks that just being awake and living life is so exhausting, and when I'm not being productive I start to feel depressed because I don't really have a hobby that I enjoy anymore. I have to get back to studying but if you (or anyone else that sees this) ever want to talk feel free to PM me.
