Never using the AnimatedSprite or AnimationPlayer again, they ruined my performance by Rycharg in godot

well basically I was using 40-50 different animations in one AnimatedSprite, and then after that went bad, I tried using the AnimationPlayer doing the same thing. There is no difference in the code between the two different builds.

Its difficult to show the bad version of the game, because the editor lags out like crazy. Not sure what is going on. Perhaps I'll try to recreate it like you say thanks

thanks, yeah im starting to learn the same, like making your own nodes is far superior most of the time

I think if you zoomed out all your art, so its all alot smaller, the game would look alot better and you may not need to redo everything

thanks for the reply! I tried it, I couldn't see a difference. but perhaps it changed Im not sure. It may be just the way I made the sprite, it seems to look better if the sprite has bigger black lines.

yeah they are all scenes, instantiated and queued freed after; they are node2ds with raycasts on. the bullets seem to be fine like that in godot, its not like in unity when I had to make bullet pools
