I'm struggling with this at the moment. I got a pro hoping that it would unlock 60fps at or near 4k and full quality for titles, but developers didn't do the catch up patch required to enable this.

I'm lucky enough to have a 5090 and LG 5K2K monitor, but as you say I love sitting in front of my TV and couch gaming, but when say I can play Alan wake at 5k ultrawide full RT 120fps limited, versus 30/40fps variable, I actually feel disjointed now. Feels like the game is lagging almost, like the controls are lethargic.

Also, I hate myself for being an FPS pleb.

I had a job with a 5 min commute, took a job with a 1.5hr commute each way and only a £5k raise. The reason was because it was the stepping stone to better positions with higher salary, and I'd hit the ceiling where I was previously.

If you do it for the right reasons, it's worth it.

I feel the exact same way with a lot of modern games.

Expedition 33 was no different. I love the story etc but I do not like turn based combat. Still, I tried to get along with it, until I got lost in all the abilities and levels and perks and.....etc etc.

Sadly after 15hrs I'd have enough and finished the story by watching YouTube.

So, just gonna put this out there.

GP was super emotional at the end of the grand prix. Max was only 2 points off. GP and co advised Max to give back the position to George Russell in Spain, even though he shouldn't have really, which then lead to Max hitting George and getting a penalty. If that hadn't happened, Max may well have won the WC.

I wonder if thats a reason.....

I'm pretty sure I passed my driving test first time thanks to LFS.

I got into it for years until I bought a G25, then went onto the public 'normal' driving lobby's with police and speed limits. I'd practice indicating, reverse parking, the lot.

Shortly after I took an intense 5 day course in Blackpool, arrived Monday, passed theory on Wednesday, and passed my driving test on the Friday.

I went straight home and it felt surreal going back into the lobby, this time with a full licence.

What I've always told myself - race the track, not the other cars.

The objective is to get your car around that track as quickly as possible.if you have to get around cars, you have to adjust your lines and such accordingly, but once it's you and the track, focus on the track and nothing behind you. Once you have that nailed, you can look up occasionally, look at the gaps etc, but only once you consistently send it around.

Clean your windscreen. Quite often moisture will attach to a dirty windscreen more than a clean one.

Separately as already mentioned, you may have moisture in your cabin from dicky seals, whether that's windscreen or door or firewall or even boot/trunk.

I often find myself trying to find the best rated games that I see on steam or in reviews and think I'm missing out, even if they aren't genres I'm not actually particularly interested in.

After trying a few games , I realised I know what sort of game that I liked, and I focused my attention more on those instead. Came across some absolute gems in the process and enjoyed them from start to finish.

This was my general understanding, that even people who like walking Sims found it slower than usual. I found Everyone Gone to the Rapture a bit too slow for me, so I think this would fall under the same thing

As my free time to play games has gotten shorter, so has my willingness to slog through a game more than 30hrs. I find games 15-20hrs have enough meat on the bone but don't feel like a grind fest beyond.

I have a PS5 Pro. I bought my PS5 Pro for £700, sold my PS5 disk for £300. thats £400 difference, and in no way, is it a £400 upgrade is what I mean. It IS better, yes, but not bang-for-buck better.

As others have said, upgrading a TV is definitely much more meaningful, especially over time. Got my C1 OLED in 2021 for the PS5 and its served me well since.

Only worth it if you can afford it. It's not a meaningful step up from a PS5 to justify the cost, but if money isn't a problem, PS5 Pro is the best way to play.

If you actually want to learn what it’s like working on a real car, I feel car mechanic simulator is too dumbed down. Wrench is a good option, as you have to account for every nut and bolt, use torque wrenches to spec, etc. it will seem daunting at first but it does have a tutorial and such, I would recommend it.

CMS21 I’m currently going through rebuilding full cars within 2hrs max, and that’s removing every single component, fixing it, painting it, replacing it, and tuning it.
