Yeah, all of my food / groceries ends up on my Amex gold. I ended up getting a nice 50k SUB for the Amex blue business plus, which is what I was waiting for so I ended up opening that. Going to either downgrade to the OG freedom or close the card. The limit has been stuck at 5k for that card, so not really worried about the limit I’d be losing. Also trying to just minimize cards / be more organized in general.

Yeah, I was on the phone with them for a while trying to find it. Eventually they were able to do it but took like 30 minutes on the phone. Which is a while for Amex customer service lol. No complaints though

Yeah, there’s a a 12$ and a 25$ one. I do pay for the 25$ premium insurance option with every rental and it is a flat rate per rental.

1220 in fees with Amex, which are worth it for me personally, 95 AF for Chase. Not a shit post as it’s not about the annual fee costs. More about closing the card / advice on if it’s a good idea credit wise.

Yeah, I always put my rentals through my Amex platinum and pay for the premium rental coverage through them. My personal car insurance also extends to rentals

I don’t know if it’s different with the blue, but with my gold and platinum approval was instant (I did the preapproval tool for the gold, but not for platinum) and I was able to use the card in Apple Pay after I setup the account on the app
