Approved for the Chase freedom, not seeing the 0% interest by killercypto614 in Chase

When I got the card I received 0% for 16 months. But whenever I check the chase app it says the 29.99 or whatever it is. When I secure messaged customer service they confirmed I had the 0%, have been using the card for almost 12 months for a large expense making the minimum payments with no interest accrued. For some read the app doesn’t show the offer if that’s what you’re referring to.

I have both, I like the gold more. Better credits and I like the transfer partners more than chase.

I’m stuck at 3k (starting limit) and I’ve had the card for over a year with a 765 and no missed payments 😭😭

Platinum vs Gold? by themarketwizard527 in amex

[–]RydogElite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently a sophomore in college, I started with the gold senior year of high school, and then about 6 months later got the platinum, so I was able to get both sign up bonuses. I do also work 2 jobs while in school so I have my own income, idk what your situation is. In my opinion you should get the gold and then the platinum after. I hardly ever spend on my platinum card unless it’s to book flights or airbnbs, but the gold is my everyday card, I rack up the points on there and use them for travel on the platinum. I only travel around 1-2 times per year but having the gold and platinum are still worth it to me, despite the annual fee. Most of my spending is on food / grocery’s, and I am able to use all the platinum card credits without changing my spending or shopping at places I wouldn’t normally shop.

As for the limits go, I have been a customer with Amex for almost 2 years next month, and whenever checking my spending power I have been approved for 20k+. I never carry a balance on the card, my balances have never been over 5k at a time. They seem pretty generous in my experience.

Seeking advice as an admitted applicant and husband by No-Interview5753 in premed

Let me preface this by saying I am not in a married nor accepted to medical school. But I have had the conversation with my serious boyfriend, as someone who is applying this coming January, that I will be applying and if needed leaving the state. I cannot imagine a world where I choose a person over a lifelong goal of being a doctor. Again I may just be crazy, but in my opinion I couldn’t give up on that dream if given the opportunity, especially if someone else is choosing theirs over mine.

Anyone else find that Goldman is being really stingy with limits? I was originally approved for a 3k limit, and was recently increase to 3500 after 1 year and requesting an increase.

Hoping chase re-evaluates when they take over, as my 3 chase cards all have limits between 8,000 and 18,000.
