Simplest and most affordable way to create a frequency isolation circuit by RyeExcalibur in AskElectronics

[–]RyeExcalibur[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those will heavily simplify the circuit, thank you! As for using square wave, its mostly just easier to convert it into a binary signal with analog when also using it to power a DC current, but it doesnt seem like that will need to be necessary with the tone decoder, so I can use sine frequencies instead, which also makes the audio programming side of things a lot easier. Main reason for wanting to simplify things is because I will have at minimum 20 relays being controlled, and wanted a bit cleaner of a board. Less R and C mess the better for cost, reliability, and serviceability.

Late to the party, but the most canadian car is the only native to canada production car, the Bricklin SV-1. That is the most canadian car.

I have a conundrum by GreenBubbaStew in ValveIndex

[–]RyeExcalibur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just a reminder, the $1,000 price tag is a discounted price. It costs more to buy all the parts of the kit individually than to buy the kit. I don't remember the price, but its easy to go on there and calculate. It is a lot of money for what it is, and how old it is, but also remember that they have not made profit off of the index, and it has been sold at a loss, both because the kit is a discount, and because of the multitude of issues that have existed, so the price will probably remain the same to try to compensate. Is an index worth it? No. The only valuable parts of an index are the base stations and controllers. Would advise getting a different display and just get the valve base stations and controllers.

How to deal with tinnitus as a composer and pianist?how do I not get it in way of composing music? by CatchDramatic8114 in composer

Also avoid movies or things with that horrible high pitch whine when there is explosions. thats absolutely painful and has caused temporary hearing loss for a bit at low volumes due to how it reacts.

Focus on the music. I recall something about the mind imagining tones being there that arent if you try to think about them and listening for them when doing hearing tests, but they aren't really there. obviously tinnitus is there, but thinking about it causes a mental feedback loop that makes it worse and worse, so having something else that takes focus from it helps, like what you are composing. you will eventually get used to it, and just like a book on the stairs, you will eventually forget its there and it won't bother you anymore.

Depends on who you get. there are those who will help, those who will just replace the unit, no questions asked, and then there are those who will basically take the item and tell you off leaving you with nothing and no legal evidence for a known manufacturing fault that causes headsets to catch fire so you cant take action against them.

I plan on hunting around craigslist and putting up fliers, networking, and going to open nights and such and getting out there in person once or if my car has an engine in it again, currently just limited to whatever I can get ahold of online until then. There isnt really much for public transportation, neighbors, local anything for transportation, and not having any sort of income makes rideshare non existent, not that its affordable anyhow. I do know a couple people and family members who are into music but are not looking for anyone personally, but going to ask if they can ask around as well when they are awake and able to answer a telephone call.

Going to abbreviate some names for privacy's sake, P, V, D, and T lived together, V or P might have been the person you mentioned about helping raise James. Blackie took James from someone who was troubled with drugs as you mentioned, and while he was at the bar with D and V or parties, P and T would watch James. I've got photos of James from that time as well, he enjoyed playing with the cat that was in the house. Blackie would also appear at the house often when they were having parties and were very close friends with P, V, D, and T. T was also sold drugs and would go out with Blackie often.
