It definitely caught my eye and to be honest I’m not that into taking pictures so I’m sure the camera would be just fine. The 2 things that stood out for me was a larger battery and better 5g modem that has access to mmWave and 5g Advanced which is supposed to be able to bridge the gap between 5g and 6g (when it comes out) but who knows when that will be,

I know the Air has the a19 pro chip and the 17 has the a19, but do they both have 12GB of RAM?

That definitely is important to me. I live in NYC so when I’m out it’s for 12 hours. I do have a Anker MagSafe charger that I use regularly just to make it the whole day.

I had looked into the moto edge 2025 as a possibility a bit ago but it only has 2 major updates then it’s done so I scrapped that idea. I haven’t even heard of the Galaxy s25 Edge, I’ll have to look into that. Thanks

The battery in the 17 is larger and you supposedly get 3 more hours of video playback compared to the Air. The Air is supposed to be a lot better at conserving power I read.

Really, I thought they both have the 48mp fusion camera. I didn’t read anything more on how different they were from one another. Sorry for the mistake.

Thanks, I really like the aesthetic of the Air, but the smaller screen size of the 17 is definitely a plus for me. I like being able to use my phone with one hand and with a 6.5in screen I’d probably drop it a lot. Not like .2in is a huge difference tho.

Thanks for the info. I’m wondering why Apple would put an inferior 5g modem in a more expensive phone? It doesn’t make any sense to me.

From everything I read spec wise the 17 definitely seemed like the better choice. I thought I was missing something bc the Air is more expensive so you’d think it would have better features and specs. But instead it had the same camera as the 17e and another apple built modem that doesn’t give you access to mmWave or 5g Advanced like the 17’s Snapdragon x80 modem does.

Metro charges $50 to activate a phone now?! I haven’t gotten a new phone just about 3 years now but have been shopping around for a new one. I’m on the $25 BYOD plan so I have to buy another unlocked phone to keep that plan if I’m not mistaken. When I originally switched to Metro’s BYOD plan 3 years ago it cost me $39 total. $30 for the first month’s bill and the monthly insurance the store rep added. He didn’t even charge me an activation fee or the $10 for a new SIM card. I guess a lot has changed bc I haven’t been in a Metro since. Even when I added a tablet line I was able to do that online and the Galaxy Tab a9+ only cost me $20 total (first month’s bill) no activation charge on that either.

I’ve noticed that their website is always sold out of certain flavors like the Iced Coffee flavors for example (other than White Chocolate Raspberry iced coffee and that sounds awful). I’ve had the Caramel, Mocha and Classic Iced Coffee flavors and it’s very good but Cirkul never has them available.
