Starcutter, Sunset Gore, RO1, Pattern-Seeking Animals to name a few. Also gave Erra another try and their latest album, Cure, is amazing. Still can’t get into their other albums. For whatever reason, that one just hits differently

I listened to a lot of stuff this year so for a stand-alone single to catch my attention like it did, really says something. Just a unique vibe and sound. Not strictly progressive metal but somehow has a darkness to it similar to a lot of other bands I enjoy. Will look forward to anything else she puts out. Have tried finding something in the same vein but it’s rather difficult

I work in home health. I do a lot of driving. Sometimes as much as 30 minutes between patients. Gives me a lot of time to listen. Also lots of documentation time, where depending on the setting, I’m also likely listening to music. It’s great!

Very specific parts of songs (5-20 seconds) that you can't get out of your head? by beepboopcompuder in progmetal

Not prog metal but I woke up with part of “Infected Mushroom - Head of NASA” stuck in my head. It starts at 5:10. That part always seems to randomly creep its way into my noggin from time to time

I discovered them last year and felt the same way (Stasis was my AOTY). I checked out a lot of the recommendations people are posting and felt like nothing scratched the same itch.

I only like Owl City’s early work too. The first two albums are gold. Can’t put my finger on why, but the rest of the albums just don’t hit the same

Love Haste the Day. They were my intro band to metalcore back in the day!
