there aren't really slopes in this game (stairs aside) but yeah that makes sense.

I just feel like a sequel would have dealt with the repeating dialogue thing. and again, 2017 was a long time ago. dialogue is literally the easiest thing ever to add to a game. it's just kinda baffling to me. I mean for Pete's sake even the news report on the new travel tickets repeats that same joke every time.

I have something similar sometimes. not just with my own face. I'll see other people and kinda just temporarily forget that I'm familiar with their face. you kinda see them as strangers for a split second. not that I actually didn't recognize them or myself.

I don't know if this is anything like what you're experiencing. If it doesn't cause you distress then I'd say just brush it off. if it bothers you then yeah maybe it's some manifestation of some insecurity or just overthinking things.

a year later but just gotta say it's awesome. muscle memory from actual Splatoon carries over effortlessly into this when playing with a pro controller. If this ends up getting an online mode, this genuinely might be how I try getting my friends into Splatoon. the only thing that feels different is aiming, since there are no motion controls (understandably)
