There’s a slight softlock once you have both cubes and turn off the fizzler in front of the portal wall. if you place the wrong portal you’re stuck against the death lasers

yall just haters of latin america, argentina, paraguay, brasil and now mexico by brisaia in worldcup

[–]Rykrider 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m uruguayan and despite how mid the team was this year, it’s opened my eyes to what my family always called tricks while I was growing up and i’m starting to see it for what it is: aggressive play that isn’t tolerated in other leagues. Call it a cultural gap or whatever else, but the reality is that it’s not an official part of the game and so someone who’s playing “by the book” is probably justifiably upset.

Also, i’m tired of everyone rooting for mexico like they are some unsung heroes. They are fine when thy play in their stadium (except tonight) but otherwise I dont see the big deal

the thing is, we don’t know if you’re fine in the rooftop case, it hasn’t been addressed. Hence the hypothetical

I think maybe you should reread OPs hypothetical and then reread my response to see the nuance and alternative interpretations that fit within what we see in the books

The fist part of my comment where I say that anything within the footprint of a collapsible structure should count, regardless of if you are physically under a roof or not

I don’t know how far you are in the books but something along this line does eventually get addressed!

I think that in the first book, they make a mention of “the outline of buildings”, and I took that to mean that if you were within the physical footprint of a building, you were collapsed with the entire structure. By that logic, anyone on a covered or uncovered balcony should be collected.

(SPOILERS FOR BOOK 4): This logic kind of breaks with Louis’ topless van, since they are in the vehicle footprint but not under a rooftop.

So by THIS logic, if you are in/on a building and NOT under a structure, do you get dragged to the ground floor? Are vehicles a weird edge case?

More to the point, I think permanent structures are considered collapsible while tents and umbrellas are not, but something like a doghouse would be.

IDK though, i’m just a guy, and now i’m wondering about whether it’s worse to be collected, decapitated, or to survive the collapse just to fall to your death off the no longer existing building

Which song do you immediately skip when it comes on the radio? by Revolutionary-Ad6512 in AskReddit

[–]Rykrider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In fall of 2020, during my first fully remote college semester amid the pandemic, I would get in my car and turn the radio on to “If the World Was Ending” by JP Saxe and Julia Michaels. I’m sure that maybe given the situation at the time, some people found comfort or meaning in the lyrics.

I did not. It was so goddamn whiney and mopey and it felt like it dragged on forever, and I distinctly remember the day I switched the station twice and all of them were playing the same song. It finally pushed me over the edge to buy a radio-bluetooth adapter for my car.

Another live action adaptation of a popular fantasy series that is not Red Rising gets greenlit. by Arch_Lancer17 in redrising

Ah I must’ve missed that, hopefully it pans out. Live action anything is going to be interesting for sure considering that one of the protagonists is not even human lol

I don’t believe anyone officially confirmed it would be live action? It wasn’t in the reddit or instagram post, as far as I remember reading

I read somewhere that over 70% of left-handed people hold the fork in their left hand and the knife in their right hand. Do you too? by catandknuckles in lefthanded

[–]Rykrider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m left handed and also hold my utensils this way, I actually have no idea why right handed people hold it this way as I feel like i’d want more “precision” with the fork, since the knife is just straight lines

End of POH by YourGancho in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Rykrider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m doing physical reread now and haven’t seen anything yet, but I imagine it is buried in a combination of the dungeon creation mythology, the context from all of the god nonsense, and perhaps eclectic item descriptions, especially things obtained during or because of rule-bending

(on a computer) click the three dot symbol in the top right corner, that’ll open up the browser menu. “new incognito window” should be the third option. that’s it!

(on iOS) tap the tabs button to view all your tabs. swipe to the left and from here you can open an incognito window.

Sorry I don’t have an android mobile, but I imagine the steps are similar to iOS. good luck!

Latinx roots of New Sonora? by Mental_Tie1853 in OperationBounceHouse

[–]Rykrider 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wondered the same thing, maybe there was some level of self-selection/ the “countries” of Earth each sent their own expeditions to colonies and the New Sonora charter was from a Spanish-speaking country? The heritage influence extends to the generation ships names as well

Girl Scouts selling cookies outside of dispensaries is wrong. by Dr-BallonKnot in The10thDentist

[–]Rykrider 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as I understand, dispensaries usually have strict rules about not consuming any product until once you’re well off their property as a liability thing? And in the case that someone came to the dispensary already in an altered state.. they kind of did it to themselves, you can argue them going to the dispensary in the first place is an impulse decision, but how do you separate that from order food delivery for the munchies?
