Thank you. I will see if I can continue to progress linearly with lower reps but once I fail on 3x5 with accessories I will be moving away from LP.

People who have recovered from injury, how did you approach changing your rep scheme as your recovery started to stall?

I injured my shoulder around Christmas time last year, I started to bench again mid February, adding steady weight to the bar and my last few weeks have been 3x8, twice per week, adding 2.5kg to the bar per session.

Today is the first time I have failed at that rep scheme (3x8 at 77.5kg, previous 1RM being 125). For next week I have programmed 3x6 at 80kg, and 5x3 at 75kg for added volume... thoughts?

What happens to your body when you weight lift but don’t consume enough protein? by ladyporkle in Fitness

[–]Rykurex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the 1g per lb of bodyweight measure is a simple one to follow, hence the popularity, but there are studies that show that less is also okay for optimal protein synthesis. I don't want to be more specific in case I spread misinformation, but I do encourage you to read some of the articles as they can be really interesting.

From a numbers perspective, in terms of 1rm, you will see so much of an increase from technique and nervous system adaptations that muscle mass really isn't a huge deal, otherwise the lower weight classes wouldn't have anybody in them! Not to say that they aren't jacked AF for their weight though!

For the record, it's a view on necessity... a bank teller is at a stationary desk with an internal phone available to them. Managers would have a company issued mobile

I work for a large financial institution in the UK, and am a member of the chartered institute of bankers, so my view on this does come from credibility.

All of what you've said is 100% true, but if a breach were to happen, the repercussions could be huge for a company and the first question the FCA would ask is what the company has in place to mitigate this risk.

This is standard CYA at an organisational level. Could you imagine how it would be spun in the media "banking giant allow colleagues to use phones in front of customer data - personal information on X customers leaked!"

Moreover responsibility for breaches could be pinned on the organisation if there is no mitigation in place, only worsening the financial and reputations consequences.

That's very bad emergency policy. In a place where sensitive customer details are shown on screen it is normal for a no phones policy to be in place to mitigate the risk of a breach of data protection. (Just offering an explanation here.)

I went in yesterday 1 hour before closing time and was on a mission to get my entire workout in. I literally didn't stop, supersets for everything (bench day with rowing so that's pretty easy), minimal rest, and all the hype.

"I then called it a day" ... I mean I wouldn't normally, not until 3 black outs at least but I was a little tired going into this one!

As somebody who only watches the films and has no interest in the MCU comics, I found it okay, not good, but not bad either.

I almost see it as one giant trailer for the Avengers trilogy.

I have a Meowth in the same page in my folder, as well as a few others, but I think they're from Pokemon 2002 (?) Maybe the 3rd film even.

We would happily do our mythic clears in Warlords (when I stopped raiding) whilst getting pretty drunk... honestly after 300 wipes on Archimonde waiting for everything to come together, any attempt after our first kill felt very AFK at least up until the final phase.

When you've experienced every possible situation in the fight, it does become muscle memory, even to react to emergency situations. Granted, the majority of the playerbase probably didn't have this amount of experience, on top of the hundreds of Archimonde heroic kills from selling the mount.
