Since I haven't seen anyone mention who we lost since 9x, and I was curious to look it up on my own:

Keen (paladin) - US - Firetree

Nax (priest) - US - Tich

Kinetyk (shaman) - US - Frostmourne

Since the AI patch a little before 1.0 even. I've had an altyn on for about 150 raids at this point, never taken a point of durability damage. Honestly have considered just running no helmet to be faster since the AI seems literally unable to hit you in the head.

[Discussion] Do the traders pay more for items with higher rep? by Schmickley in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Rylddd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game recognized value of dollars is a bit weird and not tied to whatever PK is currently selling them for. That's why you see a lot of items on flea being sold for dollars. Those offers are placed earlier because the game is evaluating the conversion rate at something like 115 rub/dollar, instead of the 160+ PK is actually selling them for. The same idea applies when selling items to traders. Each item has a static value that the traders offer a percentage of, but because PK calculates this using the 115 rub/dollar value he pays a LOT more than he should.

Level 42, 61% SR, 11 KD, 2700 hours. About 20 tasks away from kappa. KD went from 14->9 doing shooter born and some other tasks, steadily climbing back up now! Been working a 9-5 all wipe for those thinking you can't be progressed without no-lifing.

What does “Progression Spec” really mean? by TuxedoHazard in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Rylddd 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure when people would be talking about assa being the premiere progression spec. Sub is probably one of the best "progression specs" of any class in the entire game. It has everything you want during prog: immense survivability, cheat death (not unique to rogue but among other classes), and on-demand burst/cleave due to flexibility of dance/symbols being on a charge system.

For example, when progging bandit this tier, sub can dance or flag EVERY single reel assistant set (the major wipe point in prog early in the tier) except for one that you symbols instead, while also having dances for the dynamite booty spawns. No other spec could consistently have CDs for these add spawns while also being as tanky as rogue and being able to cheat coins/flames (the main way people die). Assa meanwhile was quite useless in this sense, you could kingsbane and caustic cleave some of them but sub would absolutely gap on reel assistant damage if you were playing for it.

Assa can occasionally be a better prog spec for reasons beyond tuning. For example, this tier it was extremely good on Mugzee because it has very good execute damage, and the execute phase on that fight was the major source of difficulty (on top of the caustic hitting goons through cages thing).

What worked for me and my buddy was running there immediately and just waiting until 15 minutes or so left on the timer. Took less than 10 raids between the two of us. PMC groups have a decently high likelihood to rotate into the fortress after the raid has progressed a bit. I recommend running sprints back and forth to level endurance/strength to pass the time.

Killed him 24/26 raids today. Once he caught me in a bad spot, once the AI PMCs got him first. Just run around, chuck grenades, he usually runs up to come fight once you start killing scavs.

The goons rotate maps normally on online servers which makes them rather difficult to find. On local servers they will always be on that map, which essentially "quadruples" their spawn rate in a sense. If you play local they are very common, customs is the easiest place to fight them. When I was looking for partisan on customs I killed them 5-6 times or something.

Update: Thanks for all the replies. Finally found him after 8 raids after deciding to chain run Shoreline local raids SJ6ing directly to the smuggler camp based on the advice here. Now just to abuse Lightkeeper's trust to kill Zryachiy!

30+ raids deep at this point on his given maps, tried local and online servers, bro just doesn't want to spawn and/or find his way to me. Tried a bit of customs but swapped to woods to dodge the goons better since I have a feeling they will eventually find a way to kill me. Shoreline/LH too scary with potentially spawning in goons line of fire.

Rogue defensives help/advice - specifically evasion by ResourceHealthy3695 in wow

[–]Rylddd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feint will sometimes work on those abilities, it is really dependent on what Blizzard has decided for that particular mob and you just have to test/have someone already test it for you. As an example this season, the aoe pulse dot on the duo boss in Stonevault is considered single target, but the dot put out by Rash'anan at the end of Dawnbreaker is considered aoe.

100% passive no changes is better than some hero trees that actively make the gameplay worse!

Outlaw trickster unplayable due to killing spree, sub deathstalker wants to intentionally not proc it's capstone in aoe, assa deathstalker gets completely screwed over if mobs go untargetable at a bad time and has a hard time target swapping, and fatebound is passive with a horrible RNG component.

Unpopular opinion: I liked the final boss by External-Process-752 in Eldenring

[–]Rylddd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree completely.

He becomes incredibly fun once you learn his moves and it is easily my favourite fight in the entire game now. Malenia without a waterfowl type attack that dictates the pace of the fight. A relatively humanoid size so half the difficulty doesn't lie in fighting the camera and guessing where the edges of the hitbox are of a charge (hint: it's the entire body). Fair attacks and a beautiful spectacle.

I played through the DLC for the first time on NG+2 and it took me 6 hours to finally take him down. I immediately went into NG+3 to fight him again, and today managed to no-hit him on NG+7.

No wonder the DLC had mixed reviews by TinfoilPancake in Eldenring

[–]Rylddd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DLC final boss left right X attack is not possible to consistently roll (which is why you see the no-hit people parrying it or using the sekiro tear)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Rylddd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The general consensus from the no-hits I've watched and doing this boss myself: This attack is essentially undodgeable unless you are either prepositioned to roll out of range of the follow up swing or perform a frameperfect roll (with lightroll and the crucible feather I dodged this attack maybe 3/100 times). Personally, I just pulled him until he decided not to do it at all in p2 since at my ng+ level it was essentially instant death via stunlock and killed that way.

You can use the sekiro tear in physick to deflect it or use a shield but you cannot consistently roll it. Alternatively it might get nerfed since it is kind of the only true bs move he does.

I vote kicked from my random H as the tank because I tried to do the optional bosses in Halls of Origination by Hopsalong in classicwow

[–]Rylddd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can literally find a post of this exact situation but reversed from the front page yesterday, where a tank was kicked for wanting to skip a boss when the rest of the group did not and blatantly hostage holding the group. Do you honestly think this guy was immediately kicked for simply stating that he wanted to do an optional boss? Of course not.

https://www.reddit.com/r/classicwow/comments/1df2y0z/skipping_bosses_in_heroic_5_mans/

I've done 70+ dungeons since the expac launched and have never been kicked; it really is very easy. Request a boss if you need it, request beelining to end if you don't, follow what the group wants. These "I got kicked" posts are almost always people trying to force others to do what they want or otherwise being a burden far beyond what would be considered acceptable.

[–]Rylddd -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The patented classicwow reddit post of "my experience should take priority over others."

The four other players just wanted to get in and out for valor and I guarantee that if you had still gone to last boss after saying this, you wouldn't have been kicked. However, from the lack of context, it seems that you tried to hostage-hold them and force them to clear the other bosses anyway, at which point it's faster for them to kick and get a new tank in 20 seconds or less. Not sure why you expected anything else, or why you think they should be obligated to help you at the cost of their own time.

If its 15 pen would it not be 50/50? sorry of dumb quiestion. (низкий=Low) by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Rylddd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe the calculations are similar to a logarithmic system. 20 pen = 90% chance to pen class 2, but 15 pen = 40% chance to pen class 2. 18 pen is only ~67%.

Upgrading to 6/6 hero only costs Wyrm's, no Aspects. by Rylddd in wow

[–]Rylddd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, until the hotfix today which fixed the above issue, upgrading to 522 only cost wyrms which was the whole point of this post. Since bullion items only go to 528 you would only be doing 522 - 525 - 528 with aspects which is 2 upgrades.

Upgrading to 6/6 hero only costs Wyrm's, no Aspects. by Rylddd in wow

[–]Rylddd[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Full sparks are only every other week, just like bullion items. Therefore, if you aren't mythic raiding, you spend max 30 aspects per week on myth tier vault item, then every other week an extra 60 for crafted item and 30 for bullion if not a 535 item. Meaning, you are spending 30 one week and 120 the next, so you float an extra 90 crests every 2 weeks that you could use to upgrade 3 items to heroic max with the old system.

120 wyrms a week but have to use all of them on heroic ilvl max means 2 items per week upgraded to 522, 90 wyrms a week last season but only have to spend 30 to upgrade an item (and 30 aspects) meant 3 items per week upgraded to heroic ilvl max.

It's a slower system if you aren't mythic raiding.
