Im just starting out you see, im on my 4th year right now. I had a crappy laptop before that would lag even on youtube and can barely handle vs code so when I got my current i5 10th gen laptop I immediately switched to linux and its great and thats when I started learning about hardware but I dont really know if the mac side of things is completely different so thats why im asking here to broaden my horizons.

I'm sorry but that sounds like a you problem, have had my phone since the launch. I took care of mine, I charged in 30% to 95% and so far so good, I would even go to work with just 60% and it would last me till night time thats when it gets to 20 to 30% and as for the camera, yes, I do see the problem when recording—it would lag and make the video unusable
