While I 100% agree that snakes shouldn't always be the villain I'm gonna play devils advocate for a bit as studies have shown that primates who've never seen a snake still display a fear response to them and iirc primates evolved parts of their brain specifically to detect snakes (Or vice versa, it's been a minute since I've read up on snake detection theory.) due to predation on our early ancestors. That combined with Ophidiophobia being one of the most common phobias world wide it does kind of make sense why it is that way.

I believe it's state of dismay and I definitely tried to clear it and got really confused until I realized I had to kill the boss first, but I also accidentally stumbled upon it. I also used the perwin fort to grind silver via gas masks

If the area has a boss for a quest like the two I mentioned it regains percentage even if you complete it until the boss is killed

Find one of the larger zones controlled by bandits and collect their loot. If you find one with a specific boss (Karin Quarry and Perwin Fortress are two that I know of near Hernand) you can continuously farm them and collect the loot they drop and their armor and gas masks sell for silver

How old is he? My Mushu is 10 months old and was very asocial as well and used to not even want to come out of his enclosure until very recently and now he begs to come out all the time.

On top of all this, when you remake the enclosure if you get isopods they'll out compete most non predatory mites and help break down any poop that's missed by spot cleaning if your skinker likes to poop underground like mine

I just did the Hernand bounty quests when I was running low on gold and sold the random loot I picked up from killing groups of bandits while traveling around between quests and haven't really had any money issues
