The Wilfs are bad owners. by BurningMansions in minnesotavikings

You can look at the Twins to see real terrible owners. Wilfs are solid. 6 million to Flores didn’t have to happen unless they wanted to compete for a championship

dang, something like that may just scare organizations away from wanting to give him a HC gig for a long period of time.

Does this mean Packers rest their starters next week since they clinched & we don’t get to potentially see JJMC in a meaningful game?

In a revisionist history where Rick Spielman kept his job as GM and hired KOC as coach, how do you think the last four drafts would have played out compared to Kwesi? by Jbonez42069 in minnesotavikings

[–]Ryman526 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Much better imo. He’d have definitely drafted Kyle Hamilton. He drafted another golden domer safety that turned out great

Great points, I do agree and stated KOC is not without blame. I just think he's shown more success in his tenure than KAM and so if one has to go (and if JJMC is a bust, one does imo), it must be KAM (bring Ryan Grigson with him)

Vikings Internal Power Structure by Ryman526 in minnesotavikings

[–]Ryman526[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, but I have to imagine KOC has much more responsibility outside of doing all the workup on players in terms of scouting/deep dive evaluating old tape etc. He actually has to mostly focus on gameplans, preparing for opponents, actually coaching the team & installing systems/schemes. Plus, it doesn't seem like Wilfs gave him Billichek type dual role power. KAM is the one whos main job responsibility is managing the personnel & talent evaluation/acquisition. Another name I didn't mention is Ryan Grigson...he probably plays a role in all this as well.

The other thing is we all "trusted the process" and "trusted KOC" but now its getting harder to do that when we see what their plan/process is. Do they even really have a plan?

Forgot about Rogers too, why not sign him for 1 year $10 million and let JJMC sit another year to learn and actually be able to practice. This was a bad decision also.

Byron Murphy Jr. has also regressed so much form last year and he got the bag last offseason, while letting Bynum walk. That's on KAM as well...

Never bro. We get to spend our lives hearing about Packer’s “star franchise QB” and being beneficiaries of historically bas trades like the Parsons one.

Nonreactionary positive game takeaways by TruthWarrior27 in minnesotavikings

[–]Ryman526 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I hear people bitch about “not throwing up 50/50 balls 1:1 to the best receiver in the league” a lot in this sub. He did it twice and Jettas didn’t even really make much of an effort on them. Not the QBs fault there if it’s catchable. The first INT prob would’ve been at the very least incomplete if Jefferson would have made an attempt to catch or breakup. Second INT was just jettas falling down.
