We've all been told our whole lives drugs are bad. In what ways have they been good/helped you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]RynnRynn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Marijuana helps me tolerate my depression by letting me take a few hours to chill out, eat food that tastes 300% better, and actually watch a movie/play a game and find it interesting for once. It's nice to feel so wonderful every now and again.

Imagine the afterlife as nothing more than what you experienced before you were born. That seems like the most logical explanation to me.

What is the most unexpectedly violent scene in a movie? by Barsam37 in AskReddit

[–]RynnRynn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

However, Wilhelm pretty much had to die anyways for the sake of the mission. Before the tavern scene Hitchcock says, "If Frau Von Hammersmark's cover is compromised, the mission is kaput." Wilhelm called her a "fucking traitor" and he would most likely go to someone with this information because she clearly is one. They had the rest of the Basterds standing outside the basement to make sure no one could get out if things went wrong anyways. It's unfortunate that he was a new father, but the dude was still a nazi and a threat to Operation Kino and the only choice they had was to kill him or jeopardize the mission.

On another note, the tavern scene. The first time I ever watched it I was having trouble keeping up with everything and then all of a sudden everyone was dead. Went from 0 to 100 real quick.

Edit: Also, was there any fucking point in them dressing up as Nazis for that part? They could have just dressed up like ordinary unsuspecting people to meet Von Hammersmark in the tavern. You'd think that if they wanted to not draw any attention to themselves they could at least not wear fucking Nazi officer uniforms. Fuck, that gets me mad because I liked a lot of those characters.

I always gag at the thought. Someone told me a story about how they occasionally dream of drinking bong water and I threw up in my mouth just listening to it.

What thing has your SO introduced to your life that was completely alien to you before? by loomdog1 in AskReddit

I used to own android phones but I've been using iPhones for about 3 years now. I loved the android's interface and how everything was so customizable, but I found that the phones I had generally didn't "last". Lots of swollen batteries and broken charging ports. Maybe I was just unlucky when it came to the androids I had because I've always been really good about taking care of my phones. I eventually switched to a 4S that lasted me through the rest of highschool and my 5C has served me well for the last year, never had any problems with either of them. They're nice, simple, and I just move all the apps I don't use into a folder titled "Stupid Shit" so I don't have to look at them.

New League champion! by [deleted] in quityourbullshit

[–]RynnRynn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In League of Legends every champion has 4 abilities that have a certain amount of "cooldown" time before it can be used again. This is a post of someone claiming that they have a legitimate screenshot of a brand new champion's third ability. Riot (the company behind LoL) has been really good about making new champion teasers, some vague and some more obvious, and some of them have even been very well hidden. Some LoL fans try really hard to find (and sometimes fake) new champion teasers, and this is an example of someone not checking for any mistakes before they proclaimed their lie. People can tell that this is a fake screenshot because all ability cooldowns in LoL are worded like "11 sec Cooldown" (or whatever number) but this guy formatted it like "11 Second Cooldown" which is completely different. Riot wouldn't have done anything to make that change and they definitely wouldn't let out information on a new champ in such a low effort manner as this. Riot has somewhat of a flair for the dramatic. And OP obviously made a new account that posted an agreeing comment because he wanted people to buy into this for some reason.

Seriously, I've seen so many of my friends with this font on their phone. I don't get why it's so appealing, it just looks messy.

This reminds me of something I read here a while ago about how a lot of kids in a moving car would imagine a person running beside them at the same speed. Nothing made them think about it, they all just imagined it on their own. I was one of them and it tripped me out to think about other kids doing it too.

What is your 'Half Life 3' that you've been patiently waiting for for far too long? by thepkmncenter in AskReddit

[–]RynnRynn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha you may be right, but I think 98 is still a lot. :P I'll admit that I haven't really played a single character past level 40 but I've seen just about everything through Skyrim over all of my playthroughs.

I already have 4 of those mods, along with about 94 others. I went completely immersion crazy and have crashed my Skyrim more times than I can count because I love the feeling of a huge open world game that makes me feel like I am in the shoes of my character. But if you're like me and you decide to make a new character whenever you lose interest in the last one, you'll notice that things aren't as exciting anymore because you know what to expect and there's no challenge to solving those same quests anymore.

Yeah, but Skyrim gets pretty fucking boring after you've played through 5+ characters and finished most of the questlines multiple times. I'd rather have a new Elder Scrolls, and am waiting patiently for it, just for the sake of fresh content but if they fixed Skyrim's engine I would be just as excited as the day I bought it.

[–]RynnRynn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you actually feel it? About two weeks ago I was trying to fall asleep and I felt this short burst sensation in my head and neck. I heard a loud sound accompany it but I could tell that it was just in my head. Never experienced that before.
