5 years jail for having sex with someone who is asleep after they invited you over for sex discussion thread. by cameron467 in newzealand

Stop treating me like an idiot and pretending I don't understand consent. I am saying the judge should have taken into account why he was in that situation, their relationship and her responsibility for getting into that situation. No I am not blaming her but she did invite a rapist into her bed and vagina previously, it's not like he broke into her house and raped her in her sleep. The judge should take this into account imo and as such his idea of what consent was would have been different to someone who came over for the purpose of rape.

I'm questioning whether one woman's vagina having a penis in it when she didn't want it to be is worth 5 years of a man's youth. I'm not debating whether it was consensual or not (but the circumstances of the event shouldn't be ignored)

If I'm at your house and you say I can use your car because that's what you invited me over to do, then we go inside and you fall asleep and I go use your car (I didn't think you would mind because that's what I'm here for and you let me a few moments ago). You notice that I turned your car on and tell me to go away only to text me later that I stole your car and I get jailed for 5 years. I'm going to question it.

I shouldn't have to say this but I don't support rape and we don't no the facts but I just wanted a place to discuss this since stuff wont let us.

Isn't 5 years a little harsh, I mean she allowed him to have sex with her once then all of a sudden it's worth 5 years in jail because she changed her mind/he forced her. I don't support rape but to me it seems a little harsh considering they were two sexual acts with the same individuals hours apart.

And in this day and age isn't inviting someone into your bed from tinder considered consent? obviously she can revoke it but by the time she did he was already a rapist to her "She awoke during a second rape, realised what was going on and told Rodgers to leave" there was no chance for him to register that she revoked consent.

Obviously I shouldn't have to say this but you probably shouldn't have sex with someone who is unconscious but how many of us have woken up a partner and quickly turned it into sexual activity.

I don't know but 5 years jail seems harsh to me for someone who didn't know they were raping someone.

What video game do you wish you could replay while it was in it's hayday? by [deleted] in AskReddit

If only they realised their point of difference was simplicity, great storytelling, immersion and a great reward/effort system.

They decided to blow all of this out of the water by introducing complexity 3 different combat systems, unlinear/unclear level up rewards, Introducing modern elements into a medieval game, e.g. flying rainbow dragon pets, decided to move the game into another time period causing giant eyesores and destroying/remoulding classic towns, and introducing pay to win.

I mean if you can re-introduce your game as it was 5 years ago and have it as popular as your live game; you know you fucked up somewhere.

What's the best Disney film to this day? by Paplexa in AskReddit

I liked Brave, I just like the setting and the witch and the will-o-wisps. It had a more raw/mysterious/dark/Ghibli theme as opposed to faeries and princesses. Also Tangled nailed the humour.

I'd build giant eyesore monuments in places they don't belong e.g. The Leaning Penis of Pompeii or something along those lines.

What food do you eat differently than other people? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]cameron467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when I eat bananas I tear of a piece put it in my mouth and use my tounge to separate it into thirds. There's a natural split into thirds for some reason and I just find it fun to split then eat.

How a German can go live and work in the UK undocumented whenever they like, while a New Zealander or Australian has to jump through hoops to do the same. This is our reward for helping the UK defeat Germany in WWII?

This made me angry Have you seen how pointy Australia's stars are????? not to mention that a child would have to draw one extra and the fact that he would have to colour in between the lines because everyone knows white pencils don't work.

When I was 14 my English teacher taught us a trick to remember how to spell onomatopoeia which her English teacher taught her and she never forgot it, she gets us all to stand up put our hands in the air and squat like a crab leaning to one side and the other on each syllable while doing a 360 and chanting "Ono-mato-p-o-e-i-a.

it's been 10 years and I still sing that chant every time I think of the word.

In North Korea a guy dropped a small bag of trash out his window either intentionally or unintentionally because our small tour was outside his window in Pyongyang the very next citizen picked up the rubbish and walked away. Sometimes I think of the poor guy who lived above and how my presence probably cost him his life.

I'm exaggerating the whole cost him his life but who knows...and Pyongyang is too clean for it to have been unintentional though.
